Sounds like a cooling mod by drilling a few small air holes over the top of the fans would do a lot to help with those in game and stress load test temperatures. I would suggest using something in the 1 to 2 mm ( 1/8 inch ) size to drill out a small pattern of holes over the tops of the 2 fans that would really do good to lower the temps and give those fans some room to breath.

Would be interesting to see how much of a difference that would make.

@dawid you never posted what paste you used either thinner pastes like kryonaut often pump out in low mounting pressure things like laptops ect. ICD or gelid gc extreme would be good pastes for this scenario. Also you should undervolt and adjust the power limits. Water-cooling would be pointless as your not thermal throttling your power limit throttling. Throttle stop using a -.125 mv undervolt and raising long power limit to 65w or 70w would more than likely net you 3.8-4.1 ghz all core permanent boost.

In my experience trying to repaste my PS4, I have discovered that applying regular thermal paste on an exposed CPU dye results in something called the pump-out effect. It's basically when the thermal paste starts oozing from the sides of the chip due to expansion and compression along with a lack of friction. It doesn't matter how much paste you apply or how you do it it will always come out from the sides. The solution is to use a higher viscosity paste or for a more robust solution, you can use thermal grizzly carbonaut. I used the latter and worked like a charm.

I agree with madmat below take that bottom panel off cut a rectangular hole and install a mesh vent so air can get to the fans, then put some raised feet on it to increase air flow. The ony downside to these small rigs is theyre almost all hot boxes, this shortens life and hampers performance - I think a little modding for increased air intake could easily lower temps some.
