Jonny - great new format with amazing integration of video, graphing, and Livescope. This parallels what many of us do in our fishing day. Jonny- like you I’ve added livescope/AT to my boat in the last year. And like you, now instead of dragging jigs and cranking, I find myself using active target more often and trying to catch fish that way. I enjoy using AT but I’m not sure if I catch any more fish using it over scanning than dragging a jig, worming or cranking. How about you?
@FishtheMoment Жыл бұрын
Haha I feel the same way. I think it’s easy to get focused on the suspended fish when you see them and I would guess 75% of the bass are suspended at any given time. I still think a football jig dragged around offshore will get bigger bites on average a lot of days. I’m still trying to find the balance between dragging and livescoping

Awesome video as usual. I have been on a similar bite the last few weeks. I noticed that if there were more than 1 fish if I ripped the bait a couple of times pretty hard it would trigger a bite. This was true for largemouths but the smallmouths were in large schools and would come a long way to smash the bait as soon as it hit the water. Its definitely a fun way to catch them. I was actually finding them out in the middle of nowhere 30-40'. Other guys were looking at me strange until I started catching them pretty good. As always great video. I'm looking forward to the 2D garmin settings.

I don’t have a forward facing sonar but after seeing you use it I must admit it’s tempting. However, I could see it taking some of the fun out of fishing just looking at the graph all day and before you know it, you have spent 2 hours trying to catch fish that will not bite. Have you found this to be a problem and would you recommend forward facing sonar to a non tournament fishermen?
@FishtheMoment Жыл бұрын
It can be good and bad at the same time. I feel like I catch 3 - 4 extra fish each day because I have Livescope. On the other hand, I also spend longer fishing for inactive fish and fish fewer spots in a day than I used to. Overall, I would recommend getting it if you can.
