Hi Sam. I wish i caught up with you in my home town of Sligo. Loved the video, but you missed out on another Sligoman who was as equally important as Brother Walfrid to Glasgow Celtic F.C.. Sean Fallon was born in Sligo town and spent 30YRS at Celtic as a player, coach and Assistant manager to Jock Stein. 10 of the 11 Lisbon Lions were already signed by Sean before Jock arrived as manager. He's also credited with discovering Kenny Dalglish among others. There's a real argument that Sean was the greatest talent scout in English football history. His force of personallity convinced many Celtic legends to sign and this ultimatly added to the history of this great club. The 31st of July this year will mark the 100th birthday of Sean Fallon, a Celtic Legend.

Many people forget he was assistant manager to Billy Bingham at the 1982 World Cup. He was a very talented player; fast and with a strength and courage that belied his relatively short stature. The era in which he played for Celtic was relatively barren for the club, but Peacock was held in the highest regard by the Celtic fans throughout. The only player from that era more popular than Peacock was another Northern Irish great, the legendary Charles Patrick Tully. No Celtic player before or past was ever adored more than Cheeky Charlie. They referred to it as "Tully mania".

The food kitchens which were operating were not sectarian but given the areas they operated in were mostly used by Irish Immigrants who were Catholics! The club unlike other institutions have never been against signing persons from any race religion or colour! A significant contribution has been made by people (non catholic) to our glorious history and such we should not be called a Catholic club, but a club for all! 👍🍀🏴🇨🇮

Joseph. Celtic were founded specifically to fund the St Vincent de Paul's Poor Children's Dinner Tables in the parishes of St Michael, St Mary's and Sacred Heart. I'd like to think that nobody was turned away but the intention was for only children from those parishes to be fed. In the early days Celtic were very much seen as being from the Irish Catholic community. You are correct in saying that we did not have any issues who played for us unlike other Irish clubs such as Hibs who had a Catholic only policy
