Hi I’m moving overseas for a period of time so I’m taking a stash of meds to ensure I have what I need for a few months. I’ve got a couple of questions! I’ve been looking up the medibag rules and some airlines say they require a doctors letter saying you need the meds. Have you needed one of these on your various travels? Many of my ‘meds’ are supplements advised by herbalist rather than the GP, have you been able to include supplements in your medibag, or just dr prescribed meds? Can I get away with putting a stash of ibuprofen and paracetamol in there too? I’ve looked on Amazon and all the tags look different. Is there a link you would advise? Thank you!

I have letters for some of the liquids but no one has ever asked for it. In fact first time I took a medi bag I tried to tell the TSA agent and show her the letter and she wasn’t interested at all and waived me on. And yes ibuprofen and paracetamol are fine - I’ve done that for years well before I got LC. Iam concerned about taking my supplements abroad with me. Many are in powder form and very bulky in the original packaging. Surely if I decant it into bags even with a label, I will look like a drugs mule😂

Yeah you can’t carry any type of powder that does cause issues. Even washing detergent loose in a zip lock bag will get you secondary inspection. When I used to travel with electrolytes in a big tub I got stopped every single time and they tested it. Are there alternatives that you can use for traveling capsule form? Or get the pharmacy to make up capsules? Many folks actually open capsules into water and take them that way anyway cos of issue digesting what the capsule is made of.

@@sallyriggs465 I can't function with my D-ribose and the most economical way to buy it is in bulk powder form. I go to Europe on motorcycle trips when I can and mix it concentrated with creatine in a large bottle so it can last me up to 10 days. This may be an option once the new airport security measures are in place in the UK? I will have to buy capsules until then. Had 2 weeks in Spain last year and was a complete basket case without any of my supplements that have kept me functional for the past 3 years. Long covid is a curse and I am currently in relapse following a nasty cold. It kicks my symptoms in hard when I get a cold or flu. Thanks for your informative videos and advice.
