I was always a big fan of the Frio brothers. They are some of my favourite sims from sunset valley as well 🙂 Back then my sim often ended up with Connor, but these days i prefer Jared a little more.

I actually use Nraas to make Jared the father of every single mom's every kid in SV. (He has a LOT of enemies!) And I really like what you did with this renovation. It certainly suits them. BTW, as for Connor, I do give him relationships with all of Jared's offspring. He's the "good" uncle who helps the mothers financially. Although, now that I have that mod that lets you take Sims to court, more and more of Jared's former girlfriends will be suing him for child support. Probably not Claire, since she tends to avoid the legal system. Anyway, love what you did here.

Pro tip for roof hot tubs: if you have move objects on you can delete those just like you can the fireplace chimneys. Although the Frios definitely would half ass a home renovation project so I love the effect of the plumbing being out in the open lol

Definitely feels like Don's condo! For the hot tub, I think with moveobjects on you can remove the metal bottom of the hot tub. Kinda how you can take chimneys away from fire places with moveobjetcs on (or was it testing cheats? One of those cheats pretty sure).

The trick is to find simple mesh objects... which is hard bc they often have a textured create-a-style swatch, but once you make it stark white or black, or any solid colour really... it looks a lot more current.

Nice job there. You know, my big wishes for Sims 5 is for it to be just like Sims 3 except with more style options. You mentioned the windows - I remember way back when I came to the stark realization that you can't actually design new windows, furniture etc. without years of graphic design experience and all sorts of software and it seems that should not be so hard. Maybe even windows that you can stretch similar to changing the height of a painting on a wall.

Boom - and just like that I feel compelled to build a green modern house! 😂. But I have always hated this house (even when I’m doing the architecture career, I avoid jobs in this house); it is just a very weird, awkward build. So you get massive credit for turning it into something that looks good and even makes some sense! My favorite parts were the upstairs bathroom and the deck hot tub. (And yes, please, to a how to video for building tricks and cheats - I know some, but I’m always looking for more!)

The problem with Sims 4 swatches is that Sims 2 was better. With Sims 2 you could mix up the colors of the counter and the cabinet, you could switch up the blankets and the bedframes. In other words, they had TWO swatches for beds and counters and lots of things. So another earlier game with a better version because we practically have Sims 1 swatches in Sims 4!

Hey friend. I like it. Never been a Frio Brothers fan. But I do have a couple questions. Do I use Placefriezes On cheat code to place a platform so I can put a hot tub like you did? I've never tried it. Or is it the cheat code I use to do that? Thanks for the video. I may do a reno of the Frio house myself in my Sunset Valley save file. I have done some serious changes. I've replaced the school, city hall, moved the police station and replaced the theater. And used other commercial buildings in the world too. Even built my own video arcade. That is to name a few changes I've done to my world. And I love it. Even added a new lot to the rich people's street and put a mansion up next to Villa Alto. And next to the empty lot, now occupied by my own mansion build.

The "placefriezes on" just let's the platform tool be used on higher floors. But hot tubs can be placed on a roof without any cheats as long as there is room for the pipes underneath

Actually I did keep the bedrooms downstairs. But did keep the outside finish the same. But did use masonry for the columns around the carport. Just repainted the walls grey and green with cracking paint schemes in each bedroom. And redid the floor carpeting. And used the same walk around shower you did in both of my bathrooms. But did make a water closet for my toilet in one bathroom. You inspired me to do the walk around showers.
