I get the temptation to ignore things but I watched my mom die almost 10 years ago because that's what she did, turned out she had bacterial meningitis and she didn't go to the hospital or tell anyone what was going on but I know she knew something was wrong for several days because I found some papers where she wrote down symptoms she was having. They pumped her full of antibiotics for a week while she was in a coma and then I had to tell them enough she wouldn't want this. It almost happened to my dad in January too, he was having issues and tried to ignore it until one night I had to force him to go to the hospital. After a couple hours I got a call from the doctor asking me about whether he had a DNR or had ever told me he didn't want to be on life support, when he got there they almost immediately had to put him on a respirator. Turned out he had an ulcer that had been bleeding and he essentially had been bleeding to death so they had to give him multiple transfusions, he spent a week in the hospital and then 2 months in a rehab facility (who almost killed him) and now I have to take care of him which means I can't work unfortunately. TLDR if you think something is wrong don't ignore it.

I always get angry whenever my relatives ignore they're sick for whatever reason (mostly they feel the need to work or perform otherwise they think everything will crash them down). I remember my mom being sick for 2-3 months in a row, and I was coming to her house sometimes and noticed she didn't go to the doctor. That made me angry but I can't force her until it becomes more serious. I ignored my anxiety for years saying yes to everything, not putting boundaries, and now it strikes me back much harder than it should be. Hopefully I was aware enough to ask for a clinic to help me heal. Now I'm better in some ways, and hope I can get less medication overtime. So yeah better take care of it when it's not too hard to heal or recover from, or you'll get fucked by sickness and healthcare insurance.

That drastically decreases the odds he will cut it out and keep it cut out. Attempting to reducd or mitigate other stress is more viable. And you think that just because he has money, he does not worry about things? That is not true at all. Even small businesses are feeding families, and some bosses actually care about their people, as well as their own income. From what I can tell over my time watching, he does not deal with stress well. If he cant just deny it and let it go away, it eats at him. The same is true for a lot of us.

@@noahblevins9569 bro soda is literally one of the worsts things you can drink, it's actual black sugary tar, that shit is designed to be as addictive as possible, first with cocaine and now with insane levels of sugar and God knows what else. Sugar is legit super bad for you, it's addictive as fuck and incredibly harmful to your dental health even if you rigorously wash your mouth. Most people drink one soda like every other day, and they get on fine for that is a moderate amount, but this mf, Asmongold drinks two cans of soda a day MINIMUM for his meals of the day, but most of the time he drinks 1-2 sodas in the intervening time, it's why all his fucking teeth fell out, because believe it or not, not washing your mouth aside from the bad breath isn't actually a bad thing at, unless you of course, consume shit loads of sugar.

I doubt this will be read, but it's important. Soda in the united states is a particular issue because of high fructose corn syrup. Fructose is metabolized in the liver while other sugars are metabolized by many organs. This means that fructose contributes significantly to a persistent inflammatory condition called non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, for which you may be at risk. If you want to continue drinking soda, please consider cutting sodas containing high-fructose corn syrup specifically. That way you're not making your health choices arbitrarily.

Soda is NOT your friend.... one of my former co-workers was about Asmon's age (32, maybe 33) and he'd sit at his desk drinking soda and eating candy and chips, all day. He'd go through an entire 6-pack of soda bottles in a single work day, every day. He'd have things like burgers and pizza for lunch (with even more soda), before coming back to work and popping open a fresh soda. And one day a manager found him slumped against the wall in the bathroom, pale as a sheet and saying he didn't feel so good -- because, as they learned later, he had just had a heart attack. They called an ambulance, and he had a second heart attack on the way to the hospital -- and that one killed him. The paramedics used shock paddles and CPR to keep his body alive till they got to the hospital, and there the doctors had to crack his chest open and manually stimulate his heart into beating again. And even after all that, he went right back into his six-pack-a-day soda routine... right up until heart attack #3 put an end to that once and for all. Don't be that guy -- it doesn't end well for you, literally :(

If you want a real explanation for why high fructose corn syrups are bad: The liver nornally gets glucose from the GI tract, and it enters in to the liver, and has a few routes it can go which are highly dependent on the bodys state (fasting/fed). There are certain steps that block either pathway to create stores or to use glucose via the krebs cycle (helps turn the electron transport chain and make ATP). Your liver regulates your glucose levels in your blood to ensure your brain has glucose for normal functioning. Fructose, however, skips these important blockades. High levels of fructose will trick the liver to beleiving you're in a fed state and it will not use the glucose for energy. Instead, your glucose levels consistently rise, and your glucose receptors (located outside of the liver) will become desensitized to glucose. This has a terrible effect on the body, ranging from developing type 2 diabetes and all of its ailments.
@Sakanx
@Sakanx 22 күн бұрын
Yeah, you are correct 💯 there are a few nuances that I wish to add onto the conversation. Glucose is the proffered brain energy source. Oranges have a type of fructose that bypasses the insuline requirements to enter cells which make it great for diabetics. However fructose from processed plants must use insulin since it is not our natural food.

yeah seen that with so many people, just remember if its only a little step away in the right direction, its only a little stumble right back into it, either you do constant little steps, several big strides or one huge leap, but doing baby steps and pausing there and declaring victory isn't a winning strategy, sure, admitting you have a problem is step one, but just like admitting there is a fire in a house doesn't help you escape, neither does standing up, or making it to the hall, leave the celebrations until your out of the building

Stress, Lifestyle changes, back to normal. I walk around the Block everyday after dinner. About a mile. I also dont drink Soda. That's the killer right there man. Caffeine is something you do NOT need in your life. Not to mention all the additives etc etc. There's a reason they put all that junk in Pop. I'll indulge once in a while. Can i get a upvote so asmon can see this. Its not just about stress, but stress is a large component, your body can only put up with so much, so eventually it maxes out, and the stress is just the part that pushed you over, so now your dealing with anxiety and panic attacks. I had panic attacks so subtle, that i didnt even know i was having one until i kept having the same discomfort in my chest. Eating better helps, keeping hydrated helps, everything helps, but the biggest part that helped me through it, was sleep, fix your sleep schedule, and im telling you after a few days of regular good sleep, you will be good, but it has to be regular and steady. It cant be 2 hours today, and 12 tomorrow, that will screw your mind up. Set a schedule for sleep, and sleep. Also there are things like soda, that taste like soda, that arent soda. 😂 Alot of sparkling waters taste like soda, even some of the zero sugar ones, weve gotten pretty good about making good zero sugar drinks. You can live comfortably and healthy. Also air quality is huge, my old apartment started to have mold spores i think, we had some roof leaks a few months back, well near the end i developed an upper respitory infection that i just couldnt kick, full on lung rattles, wheezing, gurgling, and it lasted a month or so. I still wheezed for weeks, until i finnaly moved, i havent had issues since. Wasnt any kind of stains or smells in my appartment either, so its all speculation.

Some of the zero sugar drinks have ingredients in it that are cancerous though. Like aspartame. People need to just drink purified water. It doesn’t taste like anything but it makes you feel better. I used to drink 2-4 energy drinks a day. Then I drank Diet Pepsi for 2 months, and now I just drink water. I miss the caffeine but you can wean yourself off of it easily. Some of the health alternatives to soda that don’t have the bad ingredients are also just too expensive. All you need is water, and if you want caffeine, tea is a much better substitute. Granted you don’t add a bunch of honey/sugar to it. But even then, that would be healthier than all “zero sugar” sodas

I work in "sleep" for one of the best mattress companies in the world. Prior to working there, I just assumed I'd be selling just some product like I always have. How little I knew. After learning about sleep as part of the training and being given my first mattress from this company, it literally changed my life. I had back problems, anxiety, was always tired so constantly downing caffeine, etc. After my new mattress read my biometrics for a month and changed itself to best suit my needs, along with recommending I sleep in "zero gravity" mode (like a mild recliner type position where the knees and head of the mattress lift up), I saw almost immediate results. Everything in my life got better after that, and I had a whole new appreciation for the importance of sleep.

@@DefeatLust The thing about anything in the chest, is everyone assumes the worst, its either the heart or lungs (they think it is atleast), which adds to the anxiety, i had it real bad, i over thought everything. My feeling wasnt a pain, but more like un easy feeling in my chest, not pressure, but i just felt off. I will have random bouts of feeling like im not getting a satifying breathe, and i will focus on my breathing, which makes it worse, typically thats a signal to me, that im letting myself go a bit much, either sleep or eating, when i correct both, it usually subsides after a few days. However you actually have to try, try to cut out heavily inflammatory foods, and catch up on rest, eating a good balance of fruits helped too, i have acid reflux too, which can also cause issues similar to those symtoms. Like i would be staying up late till like 3am, and i would be so bad, that i would wake up feeling like i cant breathe, i would wake up to feeling like my heart was racing, or like i wasnt breathing, and it would make me wake up, which made me lose MORE sleep. Id reccomend using some medication to help level yourself out, then fix your eating and sleeping habits. As far as stress goes, the stuff that you see everyday that may irritate or bother you, the stuff that you say "i need to do something about that eventually." Just do those, like dont think, just do. Eventually they will all be addressed, and you can just relax, dont get me wrong there will always be something to stress about, but not having things on your mind 24/7 is a relief. The thing that really opened my eyes the past few years, is how subtle anxiety is, like ive had times to where something that is stressful happened, and it didnt really bpther me much, or so i thought, i ended up puking from anxiety like 5 min later. Its almost subcontious, you cannot just power through it, or not think about it. Clear as much stress as you can, eat as healthy as you can, and get as much steady sleep as you can.

So this year at 38 I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I had a bad diet, nowhere near yours tbh but it wasn't good. My blood sugar level was peaked, it was at dangerous levels. The doctor wanted to put me on meds permanently but I wanted to improve my diet and avoid the meds. I took the meds for 3 months, changed diet completely and my blood sugar levels are very stable now. My grandad had diabetes and it's hereditary. What that means is, no matter what I do, it will get worse but I will make sure that for the longest time, I will not have to take the meds. At least its not Type 1 where I need the shots, but, it was still a hit to how I live my life. If I can do this, you can do this. You'll knock it out of the park. The hardest thing was removing things like fizzy drinks and bread from the diet, but it's doable. Just keep managing it, check your blood pressure and keep working at it. You'll nail it man. Just like I have. Whats funny is the metformin actually highlighted an injury I had. I had a slipped disc in my neck impacting a nerve and I've probably had it for years just unchecked. The pain was immense and metformin apparently is likely why this was highlighted. If I would have left it unchecked, in years to come I'd of been in far worse condition. So it's worked out for the best in the end! Anyways, you're not alone in this, keep working hard to improve the situation and be your best self. Take the positives and run with them! :) What ever eats at you, fight and overcome it. Ok thats me done! Best wishes Asmon.

Just want to note I am a personal trainer since I was 18 taking blood pressure was a multiple times a day habit. My blood pressure has been 120 when I was 18 and a breakdancer with zero supplements and eating clean as a body builder in a cutting phase, chicken breast, broccoli, brown rice etc. 115 to 120 was always my blood pressure. It is absolutely not hypertension, that is complete bs, I have taken blood pressure of obese people and professional athletes, anything below 110 I am gonna give you salt because I am worried if you start sweating and drink a bunch of water you are gonna go into hypotension. Which is scary and can get you into the emergency room. Meanwhile power lifters can blow up there blood pressure so high they bleed from the nose and literally pass out and they get up and walk away. If you get low blood pressure you can pass out and just not be able to move. If you wanna argue the longevity of those people fine, but you can pass out from high blood pressure and walk away, if you pass out from low blood pressure your body can’t pump blood to your brain properly because it’s to thin. More importantly I just wanted to say anyone saying 120 is hypertension is insane. My blood pressure is usually 130 and I am fourty with chronic health problems and my Dr. has never once asked if I want blood pressure meds and I feel it would be helpful. Again Gatorade has salt in it because runners would literally run out of salt and pass out and die because there blood pressure was too low. That’s why people die from drinking too much water you literally dilute your blood to the point where your blood can’t flow properly. It’s not the only cause of death. But it’s real. 120 is perfectly healthy, it’s not to high 140 is worrisome anything higher your seriously pushing it. However just getting your blood,pressure measured can raise your blood pressure from stress and discomfort.

Couple tips: 1. Caffeine Intake: limit it to below 400mg a day. Preferrably lower if you are inactive. Switching to a decaf soda can help a lot. Since a can of soda usually has 40mg or more, you can go well over this caffeine limit in about 10 cans 2. Sugar: bad for your teeth, can cause diabetes, worsens other ailments. Limit it if at all possible. Switching to non-nutritive sweeteners can help 3. Excercise: work up towards 150 minutes of steady state cardio a week. That's 30 minutes a day for 5 out of 7 days. It doesn't take much to dramatically improve your cardiovascular health Like Asmon says, start small

The friend had an illness and wasn't recovering as fast as he thought he should, kept feeling short in breath and weak. The guy thought of my dad and did the rare thing of going in to get checked out. The hospital wouldn't let him leave as they found a massive block and the guy was going to drop at any time, got him an emergency surgery and a slew of follow ups. It's not worth it. For anyone who sees this, eating that much sugar (or probably half that much) will ruin you. Not even considering the effect on your mental health, it will ruin your retirement when you can't feel your feet from type 2 diabetes. My grandpa has been addicted to sugar his whole life, his organs and such are so healthy that he is still "fine" so long as he takes his insulin. All that to say, he has practically no mobility and no hope of any since he can't feel his feet anymore.

I just wanted to say- It's NOT a very good way to go about living. ...and sooner or later, it catches up!! Regular check-ups, blood/urine lab every 6 months, exercise, diet.... ALL of those are important. Honestly, as a huge fan, I've been worried about Asmon ever since his mom passed away. Sitting alone in a quiet, dark, messy house and living on beef jerky and soda just HAD to be taking a toll, not only on his physical, but mental health just as equally. I'm just glad he's noticing it, and trying to change... I just hope he sticks with it, as he has influence over a LOT of people, whether he realizes it or not (I'm sure he does though.. I'd wager that he's quite a bit more intelligent than he acts).

They revised the guidelines for the blood pressure readings. It is now anything above 130/90 is considered mild hypertensive. The reason for this is that they conducted studies that determined that a single static reading of 140 was typically too high presented a false sense of security and downplayed the seriousness of the conditions of those individuals resulting in delaying of intervention that significantly increased their mortality rates. They thereby revised the number down to signify that individuals should seek intervention sooner.

The reason why you can’t do this with negative emotions? Because you and your body hold onto it. You push it down, put it away, you repress it instead of feeling it, analyzing it, accepting it, changing the source of it, and letting go. The body and mind and emotional well-being are all interconnected and interdependent. So a block, a kink, an increase in one area over the other will cause variety of issues. Emotional and mental wellness are as important as physical. Grief and stress and depression can and will cause physical problems. Being stagnant in any area leads to muck and rot. Healthy and clean water is that which moves and flows. Same as circulation, and bowels and emotions! You have to let things flow, and provide support for the flow. For every section of your being. We forgot we are more than a physical body. We are our minds and our emotions too. They all need to be well, move, flow, and have access to light and positive stimuli to be well.

I'm 32 years old and gained weight since leaving the military. Came home having been medically retired after only 3 1/2 years (injury), felt worthless, and was eating my emotions away. One day I felt sharp pain where my liver is for several hours and scheduled an apt at the VA. It got better, but I still had bloodwork and an ultrasound done. The VA is notoriously bad and the ultrasound tech casually told me I had a fatty liver and needed more apts and testing. 5 months later (earliest apt possible) I found out that tech just sucked at his job. I was overweight but fine. Inbetween that 5 month wait, I changed everything for the better and am well on my way to being healthy again. Nothing makes you regret willingly treating your body like crap than when your doc raises huge red flags about your health and leaves you on a cliffhanger. I know a bit of Asmon's headspace on being forced to reflect on how he treats his body and mind. It's good he can also accept how he got to that point. I have a hiatus hernia, and had to stop drinking carbonated drinks because they don't sit right in my tummy any more, so now I've been exploring the world of *still* flavoured water and squashes, etc. Some tasty af drinks out there that aren't half as bad as colas.

Weed doesnt help for stress... if you have heart problems, dont listen to the potheads, if your heart is weak weed can actually kill you. Almost lost my girlfriend to this, "(NHLBI), part of NIH, found that daily use of cannabis - predominately through smoking - was associated with a 25% increased likelihood of heart attack and a 42% increased likelihood of stroke when compared to non-use of the drug."

THC actually DOES help with stress, but there are better ways. I'm not even a pothead, but I'm a medical student and we like to take into consideration of the pros and cons. I would NEVER tell anyone to do weed, nor anything related, but I will also not tell people that it *cannot* help at all. I honestly never once heard anything about what you said, but I'll try asking my professors about it to educate myself better. That said, condolences to your loss, and yes I agree with the message you're trying to deliver. Weed should NEVER be your solution. There are a lot of drugs in medicines with massive cons, but is still widely used globally. I honestly wish the medical field can boost it's researches in creating a better solution for all these isssues.

You said it yourself. It increases if used daily which means if somebody does that they do not do it for medical reasons rather to get high. Also as far as I know CBD weed and oil helps people with dealing with stress. CBD weed exists purely for medical reasons and doesnt make you high.

Zack, on the off-chance you see this, my #1 tip for your particular situation as of this video, is just fill your cup with ice before adding soda. I don't know if your fridge is still broken but get it from the gas station if you have to. It'll make the soda taste like crap, but drink it anyways, knowing it's still soda, but it's also a higher concentration of water. I think you are the kind of person who can do this, and it'd be a strong step on your journey to cut sugar from your diet. Just make the thing you love slightly worse, but try to learn to enjoy it just as much as the original. This is coming from a person who has, over three years, gone from drinking soda and beer, eating sweets, and snacking on cheetos and funyuns, to drinking tea and snacking on celery and peanut butter. Small steps with just a little bit of bearable suck are strong ways to move towards your goals.

It’s genuinely beautiful to witness something like this. I’ve been watching asmongold for a loooonnnnggg time. And a part of why is because his lifestyle and mindset resonated with me. And no shit, about 2 weeks ago I had to go to see my primary care and I got put on anxiety and anti-depressants. I hate the idea of medication, but I didn’t know what else to do so I kept an open mind to it. After all these years of watching Asmon and thinking I can big dick my way through life without a care like he does has been fun. But seeing someone like him, for many people not just me, is truly inspiring. I mean really, if someone like Asmon, a self proclaimed degenerate can reach the point of “you know what, it’s time to make a change for the better”. Than a lot of other people will realize the same thing. I have found what feels like thousands of hours of entertainment from Asmon which I’m incredibly grateful for. But this… I can’t even express how much it means to a lot of us. Thank you.

Asmond needs to learn about insulin and the difference between sugars and complex carbohydrates like starch. And about intermittent fasting and what breaks a fast
@rtyzxc
@rtyzxc 23 күн бұрын
The problem is that nobody actually agrees on this stuff. Glucose destroys your blood sugar, fructose destroys your liver. grains/starches ferment and destroy your gut. Keto and intermittent fasting is trending and seems to work better for fat people, lean people are insulin sensitive and can better deal with sugar. As a skinny guy, I tried keto to the point of vomiting, my body just didn't want to go in ketosis. Personally I mostly avoid grains, modified starches (including HFCS), eat fruit and normal sugar in moderation (it signals your body to retain electrolytes), rest is meat and animal fat.
@Johan-bb4sy
@Johan-bb4sy 23 күн бұрын
@@rtyzxc You have some interesting facts, altough I don't think that starch destroys the gut. It's true that in the details there are differences for individuals. However keeping a (relatively) stable blood sugar is good for everybody. Also restricting your ammount of times of calorie intake during the day, is universally good. Constantly eating (and drinking sugar drinks) keeps the pancreas going al the time, not giving it rest. Also having a fasting window during each day, will help regenerate the body and even execute autophagy, cleaning out bad cells.
@rtyzxc
@rtyzxc 23 күн бұрын
@@Johan-bb4sy Oh yes, I agree on having enough breaks between meals, and fasting every once in a while, but doing it is a stress state so you shouldn't be doing it all the time unless you are trying to lose weight.

The medication part is so real Asmon. When my dad found out he had cancer (stage 4) he was doing ok, some walking problems now and then but he was alert and he could move in the house form point A to point B sometimes with help but he was fine. Brother, after they gave him "medication" he was bound to the bed 24/7 and i mean within 48 hours. Could barely talk and open his eyes, and i mean barely. He was like that for almost 3 months and then eventually passed. He was at-home hospice. I quit my job to take care of him during that time. And i swear to you, i still believe that my dad being unable to be coherent, being bound to a bed and not being able to move was due to the medications and whatever else they gave him. We all knew he got about 3-4 months left but the medications made his last months alive with the family a total nightmare and i can't even imagine what he was feeling like in that bed for so long. I can keep going but i'll stop by saying i got a friend who's been taking anti-depressants or whatever for about 15 years now, since he was like 23, now 38, and i keep telling him "STOP" and he won't do it. He got addicted and his mind believes he needs them and when i once took the bottle from him and insisted flushing them down, he turned into the devil, not joking. That's how addicted he was. He still takes them, every day no matter what. Sorry this was kinda long but hearing all this made me want to share this with whoever reads this. Thank you! And Asmon..... stay safe brother and take care of yourself. I've been watching you for years now and you are one in a million or even more. You got common sense, knowledge and most importantly a great character and personality. How you live your life is nobody's business but please stay healthy. I wish you a long life ahead. You have lots of supporters who love the content you make and love you for who you are. Cheers!
