I feel like not using beak blast was a miss opportunity, bc beak blast is great for shutting down physical attacker who make contact with the guaranteed burn that could’ve saved you against the mega lopbunny in the first game

@@crarlo I think it should at least deserve consideration as it can shut down priority physical attackers with beak blast and with skill link it has two 125 base power moves in bullet seed and rock blast, for special moves beak blast and boomburst provide ample damage. Since toucannon isn’t meant to be fast you shouldn’t be playing on offensive potential but instead use it to force switches, recommended for mono normal😉

I actually really like toucannon. I think it is so sad that a lot of the alolan Pokémon’s suffer from terrible stats, while their movepools are great. Especially the speed stat like why is every alolan mon so slow 😭

Part of what's frustrating is that this combination just restricts you to a bunch of common bottom tier monsters. Even worse is how so many of them overlap. If not for Mega Pidgeot, you would be better off with Dodrio.

Thought this was a cool idea so I compiled a list of all type combos that can do this currently in nat dex bug flying psychic flying electric flying psychic fairy grass dark grass poison water rock fire ghost there are several other type combos that either have 5 possible mons or 6 with an NFE. Water psychic with slowking slowbro and slowpoke would be funny of all of these I think psychic fairy and fire ghost are the strongest

It would be cool if there was a NatDex Double Monotype one month ladder. Water/Flying probably outclasses Normal/Flying (unless NFEs are banned) but it could a decent niche pick?

Unless there was a rule that you need to bring six Pokemon, Dragon/Flying would maybe also be better even with one empty slot and NFE Noibat (assuming Rayquaza is banned, you get Mega Altaria, Dragonite, Salamence and Noivern). Sad life.
