I miss my best friend. I miss him so much. He promised me he'd visit but he moved the fall before covid hit. Now I think of him so much because I miss him and I want him to be okay . He was my best friend, my first crush at one point. He made me learn to ride a bike because it took me until I was 10. He helped me learn to tie my shoes, that's how long we were friends. He was my first real friend. It's weird and sad that I remember so clearly times that we hung out but now I look back and think "What would he say of me now?" Nothing about parents dying makes me cry or anything like that, because I’ve been down that road. About 3 months off our anniversary, and a day before her birthday, I fucked up real bad and it ended soon after. I sent the girl I love off in tears because I got greedy(no, it wasn't related to money). Since then, my mind has been a complete mess, I've spent multiple weeks alone, angry at myself and the world, unable to focus properly in class as my head spun in an endless cycle about what I should've done differently, it has been draining. So I'm gonna give you some advice, brother to brother. It'll take a while, I haven't even fully done this myself, but you need to forgive yourself. You need to take the mistake you made, and grow to accept it, use it as a lesson for the future. And I especially feel the part about not being able to fall in love since, I've been growing distant from everyone close to me, forcefully dispelling any idea of love. Truth be told, I actually think I'm still in this phase as well. It sucks, I know. But you need to get up and face the pain head on, you won't heal otherwise. I get it, you love Marie, you feel incomplete without her and the guilt rips you apart, I really do get it. But the only way my life has been seeing any positive change has been to move past that. Again, I'm right where you are, I understand. You need to move on, I need to move on, We, as remorseful, guilty heartbroken individuals, need to move on. And once you start being able to move on, her taking you back will just reset your progress, move you back to a state of emotional and/or mental dependence, and that'll hinder you even more.
