I started my landscaping business when I was 16, I sold everything in my room that I didn’t need and used that as my start up cash. The only equipment I had to start off with was some shovels, a cheap lawn mower, and borrowing my grandpas old truck. I spent my whole winter studying and watching your videos and others, creating my facebook, website, promotional material, etc. the following summer my business did $40,000 in sales. I was able to buy my own $8,000 truck recently all in cash and just invested in a zero turn and trailer. Thank you Keith.

Huge motivation man congrats to you! I’m from OH did you need to register for a vendors license because your earned more than 5,000$ in one calendar year?
@GabrielKHays2 жыл бұрын
@@unknownname3969 due to the fact that I’m under 18, I’m not able to register for a LLC. I try and keep money for taxes just in case the IRS come knocking at my door. I turn 18 next month so I will start the legal process of my business at that point.
@unknownname39692 жыл бұрын
@@GabrielKHays Awesome, I am 16 and wanted to hear how that process sounded! I have saved up money from working to buy a truck, trailer, and all the tools you would need to start a landscaping business. Are there any tips of your own that you suggest for building clients?I already have a website in mind, Facebook postings, ads, mailing business cards/giving them to people, accounts on yahoo, and stuff like that.

Keith, I’ve been watching a long time and comment here and there, but let me just say that I’ve seen your last few videos and you had me in tears! I’m living what you’re preaching. I work a FT job and I’m paralyzed by FEAR! Fear of failure, Fear of losing everything I have already worked so hard for, fear of failing after pouring my all into something whole heartedly. I have tried several side hustles and failed, but that didn’t stop me from getting back up. I now have a small lawn-care business (3years) here in MA along with my FT job (that I HATE)!! I’m that guy you speak of, chasing that money, frustrated why I’m not “making it”, or why nobody is picking me to do their work for them, but I continue to do what I can to “make it”. I’m too scared to take action right now and go full time with my lawn care business because I have several financial obligations that I keep telling myself I need that full time job for. I truly feel paralyzed, but I hope with time I can maybe take that leap of faith and take ACTION to overcome my FEARS! You are truly an inspiration to me and hundreds of thousands if not millions of people, and I truly appreciate YOU for being real with us and for being candid about your own personal experiences through your journey. Me being the foundation for my family, I feel that I dont put enough attention to myself because I’m being pulled in all types of different directions, but I’m hoping to grow a little this year and take on some more clients. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Keith!

You are just as much of an inspiration as any of us. Keep lifting your head up, but I want you to know something. God doesn't give u a bag og money. He will lead u too a door and he will give you strength, but the decision is yours alone. I struggled for years at my old job. I cried at home in my bathroom so my son's and wife wouldn't see my tears. Keith inspired me to have strength and believe in myself. You have to believe that you can do it and if you do the best job you can do it will work. I'm walking proof that you can break the chains and stand tall. Please don't give up on yourself.

Living with our own mind and soul is enough to keep us with or away from our fears, regrets, or greater expectations. Learning provides us the choice to drag ourselves to depths so deep that will certainly steal our soul or grow spiritually toward a truly happy and positive life. The choice is up to each of us. Grant yourself the freedom to advance your mind and body to your highest level of performance. Open your mind and heart. Respect yourself, others and environment. We are not here to find ourselves. We are here to create ourselves. To say nothing and do nothing as a result of fear leads to procrastination resulting from fear created by others and our own criticisms. Be alive, don’t just live.

Our minds and mental health is amazing. But It's a double edge sword -- it can keep us from pursuing so much. Sometimes you need to sit down, slap yourself silly and figure out what is keeping you from achieving your goal.

Very often, though we get figuratively, and sometimes literally paralysed by fear, and so are UNABLE to take any action - we get stuck in the "freeze" part of fight, flight or freeze. Happened to me.

Wow. So powerful to hear that again. I am where you were a few years back. I am struggling with how to take that step. I have expanded and I am doing more work and bigger work and higher paying work. But I am still scared, struggling to take that big step. I don't want to get in over my head but the other issue I am having is I don't have anyone challenging me or pushing me to go forward on an intimate level. (If that is the right way to say that) Yeah people support me and try to push me, but it is superficial, they don't understand the business and stuff. But I enjoyed hearing your speech again. And Gracie wants a treat. Gracie just texted me and asked me to talk to you and Ashley about a treat. lol
