One of the saddest moments for me was getting to the house where the elderly couple lives. I crept in and was detected immediately. However, the old man did not pull a gun as I thought the would. Instead I was given the option to rob his house right in front of him and his wife as he begged me not to do it. My people were starving so I had to do it, but those pleas for me to stop stayed with me for a long time.

Thank for video , some information from me - Shortest time I can end the game is 31 days ,by start with 2 person(mathematician and big girl as teacher.) Game will give you some handicaps like you get 2 beds from start, many pples come to your shelter and give you some treats. - Hospital have 2 bandits inside if you get one be careful another one. - Construction site has 2 soldiers with guns I think they are the same guys in the round you find Sniper junction in your map. - Most slot come from the one who has strong but slow description (Can't remember his name but he can fight with knive by crow bar and take less damage than other) - Even you hide and waiting for sneak assassinate to your victim. It has chance to miss kill in one chop upon your Character. (I recommend Roman and the big guy or at least Handy man if you don't want to risk.) - Don't try to use Female character to fight with bandit. (more chance to lose and have kill.) - Arica (female with sneak quietly skill) always easy to get cold in every round i met her. Make your shelter warm and prepare for medicine if it's getting cold outside - Supper market is the first place to easily get your first gun from that drunk soldier. Some round i found gang of gun man and they shot me :( - Church has 2 version of map like sniper junction/town square but the same name. - Ruin villa has 2 versions also (2 civilian with gunman and his innocent sister and group of bandits) Have fun guys

Pavle died of starvation and I came across an occupied house. I ended up killing the old couple to save everyone else and felt bad about it but knew it had to be done. I've never felt that way before, this game is amazing :)

One time i went scavenging in some elders house. I saw 2 elders living. The man elder seem wanted to fight with me but he realy was just saying to get out. I .... killed the elder man.... the elder lady runned to the elder man and started to cry... I cryed it was big emosional hit for me, and my charracter. And all night i was thinking why did i did that? They was only elders and not armed.. This game ir a great game 10/10

Great review. Ever since Spec Ops: The Line I've always wanted to see games take on the more gritty and ugly side of war. And this does look like a great proposition. Might pick it up on sale. The $20 price tag is a bit much right now for me.

Great review, and spot on to what I thought (and think as well) about it. However, this little indie game is not only good as it is (a small indie game), but it can very well compare to some large AAA titles and surpass them in quality, immersion and so on. I would like to place this game in my top 10 list of best games ever. Yes it is an excellent game which is great fun to play, but as you mentioned, it is kind of disturbing to like this game considering what its about and what it is based on, compared to the usual war games with square-jawed American lone wolfs winning WW2 by themselves, I can't recommend this game enough. Buy it, play it - and for that matter, share a thought with the real world people who have to live this. For real.

I'd personally sayThis War of Mine. Banished is a good game, however, there is not much to it. If you want a game like Banished, but much more filled out and complete feeling, with a whole combat system, trading system, etc, go with Dawn of Discovery (Or Dawn of Discovery Venice).

Perhaps it is the purpose of a few rare games out there, particularly these days with the more cinematic games, which end up more being animated and interactive stories than actual games (eg.
