There is a Marmon COE that some old boy has at his ranch here in western Montana. Classic! I live in a "city" (by Montana standards) and the deer are thick in many of the neighborhoods. Wherever you see one deer, expect another (or two) to lurking. Drive safely.

Just wanted to compliment and thank you for a recent enhancement that I noticed! 👏 The addition of a brief summary of the video topics in the Description section! 🙂 I always check those before watching most all videos, and on some channels, it’s really helpful to know what is happening, like on Ron Pratt’s towing channel.

Hey Martin don’t feel so bad the ice pick bandit that has been flattening tires here is the south got me and six other trucks at one time. Got all 10 tires on my truck cost me around 7 grand to replace all of them. Thankfully he didn’t get my trailer tires but it still sucks. But all we can do is keep trucking.

@@TruckingTogether agreed. I don’t even like my apu being on. I don’t idle at all. was in Montana it was 60 degrees and people were idling. Why?! The newer reefers are somewhat quiet but it’s always the ones that aren’t maintained that find me. Sounds like Tyler at 3k rpm lol

Ya know Martin, we've all had days like that.......all you can do is throw up your hands, turn the air blue for a bit (stress relief 😁) and power on through. Re: the load - it's not your job - nor is it your reefer's cooling unit job - to cool the product. As you know, the reefer is intended to MAINTAIN temperature, not cool or heat a product to required temperature......I would always try to get something in writing from the shipper at what temp they loaded the product at and that "it's OK" to load like that......

Cheese manufacturers placing the onus upon the carrier to cool packaged product is poor manufacturing practices. The quality assurance of the manufacturer should require product temperature control remains in the purview of that manufacturer’s site. Transport refrigeration units are not designed or intended for use to pull heat out of products placed in the trailer. Astonishing that actually TWO facilities (shipper and receiver) are allowing this risk to be placed on the carrier. What happens when the product doesn’t show up within the receiving criteria? As far as the equipment (refer), design parameters are intended to MAINTAIN desired set temperature. I’m not in trucking therefore don’t fully comprehend the economy of it, but my armchair reaction is to not haul for that supplier. Respect for what you do!

I remember those days when you couldn’t even buy a break. But the best was saved for last, they unloaded you when you got there. Since there is so many people involved and you kind of come intact with so many people and we are driving a truck and trailer with so many parts that break sometimes when a trip starts bad it just keeps on being difficult. Most job don’t have many things influence how you day goes but trucking is all about how things not even close to you can mess up your day, there is so many variables. I’m glad I don’t have to deal with them. A cracked windshield is mading especially when it’s brand new. Be glad your home safe and sound. Now you get to fix the mirror. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails to you, D…
