That amber carnival glass deviled egg plate sells for $95! All of those were carnival glass! What a find! Some Indiana Hobnail goes for more and some less. Depending on the market. Every piece you found had the iridescent glow! 😊

That egg dish is epic. My girlfriend is selling everything in her thrift store and it’s thousands of square feet into the rafters is probably 25 feet and she has a green one that has a handle in the middle that comes up. It’s so cool.

Now that you are dealing with so much jewelry you might want to get a metal and gem tester. You will be surprised how many things are gold or silver plated, and that the stones used in jewelry are more valuable than you think a lot of times . Also look up ANY piece that has a signature . There are bronze and brass and even plastic jewelry that is valuable because of signature or age of piece. Also keep your eyes open for vintage micro mosaic pieces. I hope I don’t sound like I’m being a know it all because everything I’ve mentioned I’ve literally learned in the last year and what a game changer. I had not been paying attention to anything that wasn’t gold or silver, or had a precious stone in it and I passed up so many things. I like you guys and I love how much you care about and mention your church so I just wanted to share the information in hopes to bless others the way I was blessed . congratulations on your finds. "Love You to the Moon" so sweet Jules, I think you're a keeper! So happy for your finds, especially the Crucifix. You will probably get more for it as a piece of jewelry rather than just weight. Check for artist signature and Google a picture for more value info. The ER in the white velvet bag may be a diamond in white gold. Sometimes white gold is mistaken for sterling. That little oval magnet is a toy. They were sold in pairs and popular in the late 90's. It's always good to have a magnet and magnifying glass with you. So proud of you two, and your always thinking of sharing with the Church. Oh, the sale I mentioned at St. Frances in NMB is May 1-4, I believe. Double check dates and times. Doors will not be opened until prescribed times There is a jewelry room in, turn left, then right. I've never found anything valuable, but there is costume, some more reasonable that other. Then there's a big room down hall and right, but you may want to head on to the back yard. In fact, if you get a parking space in back, you can enter and start there. That may be where you find some things. It will be crowded! Cat

You can actually throw those fabric & leather Coach purses in the washing machine and air dry. I’ve done it many times, I just use a gentle or delicate cycle with no or very low spin cycle. The expression on your face with the urine whiff……priceless!

That magnet at 19 minutes is what they call a sizzler. They come in sets of 2, you toss them in the air near each other and they make a weird sound as they come together, almost like bacon sizzling. my daughters had several sets in different shapes.

FYI I bought a ring for 50 cents. Markings were worn off. I took it to a shop it scratch tested 14k. I then took it to a jeweler for repair and a fancy machine they had that reads all the metal content and it was 9k. low K can fool you. Even after repair (cracked band) "That aint too shabby"

I know you weren’t prepared but I take a magnet with and I try jewelry. I know there’s other ways of testing jewelry that are probably better but that’s what I start with and then when it doesn’t stick, I put it in a pile and now I have to go to my jeweler and see if she’ll test it for me. My sister-in-law left and went back to her hometown five hours away and left a 4 foot or more full of jewelry. A lot of it was junk but a lot of it was good stuff that was just broken.
