Unbelievable! Never expected to see the hometown Boys on any reaction channel, much less my favorite. Yes, Stillwater is from my hometown, Warner Robins GA. Of course, they're legends around here and they had some fame in the late 70s. Mindbender was their biggest hit, reaching the top 40, but they have some pretty decent southern rock on their resume. Glad you liked it and thanks for listening.

True but the character was not played by the same James Cameron who directed 'Titanic.' Capricorn was the home of the Allman Brothers, its best known act, but also featured other wildly creative artists such as Wet Willie, the Marshall Tucker Band, Eddie Hinton, Elvin Bishop, the Dixie Dregs, Widespread Panic, Vigilantes of Love, and two of my favorite bands on the label, Sea Level ("That's Your Secret") and Captain Beyond ("Thousand Days of Yesterday"). I'd like to throw in few suggestions for future listen-to's: Cinephile "What becomes of us." - Good for Female Friday as main lead is Susan Wallace. Labeled as trip hop, as most of their songs are really chill and psychedelic . (This one was used on a CSI episode) Jessie Ware "Wildest Moments" - Sister to actress Hanna Ware, another good chill one for Female Friday. Morcheeba "Otherwise" - Yet another one for Female Friday. Chill, and the music video is really cool. One Republic "Counting Stars" - One Republic generally has really good songs, but this one is my favorite. Chain Gang of 1974 "Sleepwalking" or "Forget" - Really great music is all I have to say about this one.

This band had chops and was set to really hit it big in the 70's. The music industry messed it up. But right after the band's second album released, Capricorn records went bankrupt. They tried to get a deal with some other producer, but the market was just not hot for more Southern Rock at the time. It's a shame, because these guys could put to shame some of the other bands which had better, longer-lasting contracts.

“Life in Still Water” by Fates Warning. Thought of the song because of this band’s name.

I met a couple of the Fates Warning guys at a club in West Hartford, CT back in the late 80's. They were rude dicks.

If you guys want more talk box, check out Joe Walsh and Peter Frampton. For something newer and funkier, check out Roger Troutman and the Zapp Band. "Heard it the Grapevine," "More Bounce to the Ounce," and "So Ruff, So Tuff" are songs that have been sampled by other artists MANY times.
