And don’t forget that for oil separator to work correctly you need velocity of the refrigerant. High head is kinda impeding the velocity ( kinda because it’s not really a high head - put pressure differential).

Can someone explain how you check level with hooking a hose between oil separator to the discharge. How would you read the level?

Install SPD parallel to the contacts. They will last longer.

Might be a basic question, but where did you find the clear vinyl hose you are using to check the oil level? Is it anything special or just typical vinyl hose?
