Chinchilla is a force of nature unto herself. Ren called her a musical sibling, and their collaborations are amazing. She was also briefly on The Voice UK, though she got eliminated fairly early on (shows like that are often not always about actually getting the best voice, but it was nice to see her on TV anyway).

Ren's a freaking genius on so many levels as far as his lyrics, storytelling, mastery of the guitar or piano, everything. He's by far the best thing I've heard in years. All the battles he's gone through medically to even have gotten here so far is INSANE. This is another video that was live and done in one take. He's just a phenom. Now, for the reaction, I loved it. Ooooooh. You don’t know Chinchilla???? She’s another independent British artist. Jump into her world with her music video “Little Girl Gone”. It’s badass!!! They also do another duet called “How to be Me” - another tear jerker. And they have busked together on the streets as well. Lots to explore. Chalk outlines are the traces of people who have died on scene and the police trace the body in its discovered position. So take the analogy to other levels as you will. Good on you for overcoming your bumps over the years. Ren brings this stuff out of everyone like no other. Great reaction.

Floating chalk outline is when you take loads of medication your no longer in control of your body and you don’t feel You just are. Erase the chalk outlines can be take two ways. Breaking the habit Becoming alive again Or second way is. not. Ren helps to make others think.

Ren is from my hometown of Brighton, and I have often seen him singing on the streets of Brighton with the lads from The Big Push. He is a very open and genuine guy and always had time for a chat and a laugh. He is a human musical onion, and you think that you have seen and experienced all his talents and then he just peels another layer off and shocks you again and again. What he has gone through would break a lot of people, yet he keeps fighting even through his recent illness relapse where he was in bed for 23 hours a day, he still found time to speak to people. He is a beautiful caring human and if you are ever lucky enough to meet him then that experience will stay with you for the rest of your life. I don’t say those words lightly as he has a certain aura and warmth about him, and you find yourself being inspired and smiling to yourself and I can even feel it now when I write this. He has touched so many people with his gift of honesty in his songs and I hope and pray that he can get through this illness and peel another layer off and carry on bringing his artistry to us all. Please say a prayer for him that he gets well soon and if you don’t believe then that's fine as well, just keep him in your hearts and thoughts.

Chinchilla 1:5 live is an absolute must. I see chalk outlines as when a dead body is removed and they leave a chalk outline where it lay. Anti depressants make you feel completely dead and numb to life. The lyric in the song where they sing I am scared of being ok because all things change, really his hard because when we are so used to falling into darkness we feel lost when things are going well. I think chalk outlines refer to how dead bodies used to be outlined in chalk. I took it as like youre already dead but just walking around going through the motions, joyless, not happy being alive. Probably the medication making him feel that way.

Very glad you found your creative "muse" in reacting to Ren. He has the ability to create music/art that pulls at your soul. Joanna, you need a break from the heavy Ren. Try Love Music 1, 2, 3, and 4. One and two have no video's while three and four have lyric videos. Ren's lyric videos are legendary though and the first two are tons of fun. All together they show his musical growth.

He addressed dark and difficult moments (Hi Ren, For Joe live, Su!cide, Sick Boi), addresses societies mistakes (Money Game Trilogy, Jenny & Sreech which you watched i think... new here), - - - - but this man has uplifting work. His Busking w The Big Push on the corner is wonderful, his wonderful collab on Back to 74 is damn near sexy as sin, et cetera. First time here. Instant like and sub for your moving reaction.... just know there is a LOT more than darkness. The is fighting to live the best life even though his medical issues sometimes handcuff him.
