You shouldn't ever worry about the length of your videos. We are all massive Renegades and we love listening to other people talking about how much they also love Ren's work. My advice. Don't do what you think other's might want. Do exactly whatever feels right to you. We'll watch it 😊😂

Wow I really appreciate this 😊 I was worried the video was getting too long so I cut it off. I could’ve talked for a longgggg time about this. I also wanted to read the comments under the video to see what other people were saying. I will definitely do that for my next video. The first part, Jenny, was inspired by a newspaper article about a street walker that was mugged and killed by a teenage boy. From what I understand Ren evolved that into the trilogy, a huge statement about the generational curse of violence and abuse. Many Renegades often compare it to a Shakespearian tale, with the intricacies in the plot and the dark over tones leading to the final tragedy. If you are ready for something light hearted and fun by Ren, I would suggest "Back on Seventy four/Message in a Bottle" mashup. It really shows off his talent as a singer, and has great vibes! Lotsa' love from Texas

Thank you so much for continuing to support Ren,it's very,very much appreciated. Another fantastic reaction,very sincere,thoughtful and reflective,and most importantly - genuine,i'm sure everyone will appreciate that. I mentioned this in my comment on your Hi Ren reaction,but in case you missed it,when you pause,if you hit the left arrow key before you restart,that will quickly rewind by exactly 5 seconds,it helps so you don't miss anything,people seem to like when reactors do it,just a suggestion. My two cents for your next reaction would be - Back on 74 / Message In A Bottle (Live Retake) it's something a lot more chilled than you're previous two Ren reactions. If you'd like to do a short non-music reaction to mix it up a bit,i'd highly recommend One Million Subscribers - Defining Success,it's a nice brief insight into Ren - the person. If you want some rap then Sick Boi would be the natural progression to that side of Ren,or maybe Losing It,which leans more towards the light hearted side of his rap work. More deeper/heavier singing Ren would be either Ren X Chinchila - How To Be Me (Live) or Ren X Chinchilla - Chalk Outlines (Live) . Much love from the UK❣🙌

New sub! Welcome to the most varied rabbit hole. He slams at soooooo many styles. He’s self taught on all instruments. You can learn about him with his chapter videos (there are 8 and he narrates his whole journey as an artist / human suffering). He’s humble, funny as hell, fiercely brilliant, so creative and life hasn’t been the same since I found him. Look into his busking (street performing) videos with his band “The Big Push” and so many deep and fun rap songs and collabs with other independent artists (Chinchilla is one of many and she kills!). Keep reacting and don’t minimize your image as much as you did because most of why the renegades love watching reactions is to capture the wonder we had when first watching a Ren video. Enjoy the ride. It’s like no other.

How does he find this creativity? REN’s life packs more experiences than most people could pack in several lifetimes: he has faced death, depression, poverty, chronic physical illness, chronic mental illness, lost friends through su*cide and tragic accidents and…he is extremely smart and well-read with an insane cultural and philosophical reach. He lost most of his 20’s being bed-bound for up to 23 hours a day, so he read a lot and educated himself with anything and everything he could. He’s also seen great joy and success with his self-released independent album going number one in the charts. His highs and lows have been off the charts. With that kind of extreme background, comes extreme creativity. He’s about as evolved a human being as you can find, especially for someone so young. I’ve heard people say that he’s like a modern-day prophet. I’d say they’re not far wrong.

Great reaction. I thought the audio and everything was fine! Ok- you want some singing then I'd recommend one of these three (of course, there's loads more) -Back on 74/Message in a Bottle retake -Fred Again mashup -I shot the sheriff/road to zion/hip hop - The Big Push (his old band- will be on their page) -How to be Me (live version) If you want rap: (again- way more than this) -Seven Sins -Slaughter House -Wicked Ways Bottom line- I haven't found a song that included Ren I didn't like. I like some more than others, but I haven't disliked one. The bonus is you never know what style you'll get (sing/rap/storytell/all) until you press play. Again- a great reaction. I enjoy your authenticity. Something that attracts many of Ren's fans to him.

@@joannasnedden Absolutely my pleasure. I am excited as well! It's fun to watch a person experience Ren for the first time. I get to experience that feeling again watching. I'm sure you've received many recommendations, but I almost forgot the storytelling ones. -Money Game Trilogy -The 8-part Chapters series on his renmakesstuff channel (might be on his main one now too). This goes in to detail on his condition and the years spent attempting to find out why he was sick. There's a music video at the end of each chapter that relates to it. Not necessarily something react to (except for the videos at the end 😃), but know more about Ren. This series leads to his song: -Troubles (there's a music video and live version) which summarizes the Chapters series in song form. And, of course, there's more. Enjoy! I look forward to watching!

There is a song that was JUST put out… WynandFouriemusic- loves healing You’ll really see what this fan base is all about! I would suggest also checking out his 1 million subscribers video sooner than later. As for a “path” there are only a few things that any order is important and one is this song which seems like you got all 3 and in order so your doing good so far. There is money game 1,2+3… you’ll want to make note that money game 2 is the “official lyric video”. One more important one is Kujo beatdown. You’ll want to save that one specific for later in the journey. You’ll want to see sickboi, money game, and the explainer video before Kujo beatdown. Other than that there are no misses and no wrong choices so go nuts. Just remember ren has happy, sad, hopeless, and inspirational music! Don’t do too many sad or heavy ones in a row so you don’t burn out. Love your reactions and excited to share this journey with you! ❤

The renegades are a force of love and support 😂 But it’s all because that is exactly what this man inspires. Watch his 1m subscribers video on defining success to understand what I mean ❤ Ren is a modern day bard painting such vivid imagery with his storytelling that it pulls you in and forces you to keep watching - even when it gets physically uncomfortable during Violet’s Tale. And Ren uses this ability to shed light on far too real issues in the world. Ren is special. The Ren rabbit hole is deep and wide, but every part of it is worth exploring - including the bands Trick the Fox and The Big Push.

51 year old guy here. Don't worry about your video length when it comes to Ren reactions. Us Renegades are used to it. I've been listening to Ren's work for about 2 years now and have seen countless reactors, many of them quite long. Say what you want to say. Besides, I love your voice, you can ramble as long as you want. 😉 Just keep being your adorable self. Ren has gotten me back into music. I've been avoiding music for a long time now because everything new is so cookie cutter. I stopped listening to rap back in the late 90's. Ren drew me back in. My favorite song of his is also the one that effects me the most. First time I heard it I ugly cried because it is about something that I went through many years ago. It's called "Chalk Outlines". He put it all to words in a way I never could. It's also a duet piece with an artist called Chinchilla. She is wonderful. It perfectly showcases both of their singing voices. I would suggest Money Game, parts 1 to 3, as a further introduction to Ren. (Make sure it's the lyric video for part 2 though). Personally, I think they just get better and better with each part. I feel the same about the Jenny & Screech trilogy. Jenny's tale is great, Screech's tale better, and as for Violet's tale, well it's just simply phenomenal. Every time I hear it, I'm blown away by how Ren conveys such a horrific and violent scene, with such poetic (almost beautiful in a weird way) lyrics. The dichotomy of that kinda messes with my brain.!

It's called Bardcore.. Story,narrator, and actor in role... Very old skool William Shakespeare orientated, there's only one Ren Gill. This Bard tale was improvised from a true story in part, Ren read a newspaper article about a teenage mugger hitting up a teenage prostitute. The tales where born..!! It's a very deep dive rabbit hole, it spans well over 15 years or watchable music, 250 plus video's..!! After this,maybe the money game series prts 1,2,3... also there's the latest stuff released, so it's a mine field of music. Which ever route you choose, it's a journey you'll never forget, and you will become one of us... A fully fledged Renegade.!!

Not a ren song. But some dude has made a song for ren. Because he's been so ill lately. It has a bunch of renegade messages for ren to show him love. Think it's called love is healing. You're right. This is the best community. You'll still get the odd bad comment but ignore those . They aren't speaking for the rest of us. Big love from the uk

Welcome to the Renegades. Violet's tale is even deeper and darker than just Jenny and Screech being her children. Stevie was shown to be violent and out of control and their's seemed to be a quick thing. Her OWN father though did unmentionable things. In all likelihood she was not only their mother but also their half sister. Ren is a master at his craft and we are the lucky recipients.

Wow!!! I love the way you broke this down!!!
@walkerig111 күн бұрын
IMHO the Tale of Jenny and Screech is a Three Act Shakespearian Tragedy, in the style of the wondering minstrel bard. Ren has self identified his music as bard core, so that is confirmed. This is an ancient style of music; that goes right back through the wondering minstrel bards of the middle ages. The works of Chaucer sung in the Wife of Bath's ale house. The north African "Bearded Man" a travelled person, wondering from house to house, tent to tent and hearth to hearth; singing songs, telling tales of far off lands, and the national news or the local news from the nearest big city, for a meal and place to sleep. And back to the Dark Ages of Anglo Saxon epic poetry of Beowulf, on through the Greek Homeric tales of The Iliad and The Odyssey and the beginning of the Choir. This form of story telling probably goes all the way back to Ugg twanging his Bow to woo the Chiefs Daughter to follow him into the fields of barley or complain about the Chief stealing the meat from his hunt, at the hut of the Widow Ale Wife, where he and others would congregate to let off steam and tell tales of epic hunts; to then draw on the local cave walls, like the graffiti in The Tales. The music acted in part as interlude/intro as well as melodic emphasis and sound effects for the story. And right up to the modern busker, on the street corner or the subway, playing for a few coins and some smiles. I love Ren and Samuel's use of locational reverb in the sound production, something that instantly stood out to me as a sound engineer and producer. They also got lucky with the Seagulls in part of the song which then was deliberately left in and emphasized in the mix. There was also throughout the acting and and staging all done live! All of this indicates the intellectual level of the performance production in this piece of art. And then for a cherry on the top of the cake Ren, Shyamalan-ed us all...

I don't understand a lot of things, one of which is why you would give the twist at the end of this trilogy away at the opening of the vid? strange.
@joannasnedden11 күн бұрын
I hear what you’re saying! I didn’t think it gave anything away! This is the first comment I’ve received saying that. I also assume most people watching these reactions have already seen what I’m reacting to. Especially because it came out so long ago! I will definitely keep what you said in mind for the next video! Thank you.

@@joannasnedden Great reaction and I truly appreciate what you do and realize some people can not be nice on the Internet. So, now that is out of the way, there was a guy that apologized for doing a reaction video on Ren with no editing. No shocked face thumbnails. Just bared bones with long monologues going into detail and he blew up fast. He suddenly disappeared and haven't seen him since last year, but if you want to not follow the usual digital marketing guru advice, you might actually thrive better without it, because its been done before on Ren reactions. Peace, love, and hope your channel keeps growing.

@@longkesh1971Wow! Thank you for this comment 😇 Yes. I do realize how mean people can be on the internet. It’s actually why I abandoned my channel for a long while. I am so much stronger now and can take the comments now. Wow!!!! You know what? I might try that for my next video. I really do appreciate that style of marketing. It’s so natural and genuine: I wouldn’t even call it marketing. It’s just real. I think I will give it a go this evening when I film. Thank you for letting know about that. I wonder where he went?? Wow thank you :) I hope my channel keeps growing as well! My goal is 100k subscribers. It would be a dream come true for me …. I hope you have a great day :)

We've all seen Ren's videos and we want to see someone experience him for the first time. Your tiny window showing you reaction kind of defeats the whole purpose. Make it larger Joanna. Great reaction!

Thank you! I totally understand and appreciate you letting me know. The reason why I did that is because every time I made the window bigger, I would lag very bad. It only stopped when I made the window small 😢😢😢 Ugh I agree. I will figure this out and it will not happen again. Thank you for letting me know

@@joannasnedden No worries. It usually is the most anticipated reaction we are all waiting for... the twist. Yes, we love watching the entire reaction as well. It won't happen again as there are no other twist ending songs. The other thing is captions on Ren for his performance pieces are frowned upon but some people need them. Good reaction though.
