The funniest one for me is that this episode is probably the biggest Autobot victory thus far, the Decepticon forces are decimated by the outbreak, and they have nothing to do with it.

List of shout-outs and real-world references in this episode: - Knock Out's proclamation of "It's alive" echoes the famous words spoken in "Frankenstein". - In addition to the segmented jaw and barbed tongue, the Terrorcons' teeth also transform into vampiric fangs. - As Knock Out indicated, destroying the head is the traditional way to kill zombies in many horror movies. But only human ones. - This episode heavily pays homage to the 1985 zombie film "The Return of the Living Dead" where two humans (Frank and Freddie) cause a gas to spread across a cemetery that revives dead corpses into zombies and then plays comedy with the two trying to control the situation while blaming each other for the zombie apocalypse, much like Starscream and Knock Out in this episode. The zombies in "The Return of the Living Dead" couldn't be killed by headshots, either. - There is also some homage to the film Blade II, specifically in the physiological effects of the virus. The Reapers, genetically engineered vampire mutants, possessed the same type of unfolding jaw and feeding tendril, as well as a greatly increased blood appetite due to a heightened metabolism. - Starscream and Knock Out's conversation while hiding from the zombies is reminiscent of a scene in Dr. Strangelove wherein General Ripper and Group Captain Mandrake are hunkered down as a firefight rages around their base, and Ripper explains his fear that Communists are out for his "precious bodily fluids". - Knock Out places his fingers on the neck of the first Vehicon that fell victim to Cylas to check for life signs. This is often done to test a seriously injured person for a pulse in their carotid artery. - The Terrorcons' mouths open like the Predators, and they also have a tube-shaped tongue with fanged jaws like the Xenomorphs

This is Airachnid's final appearance. My headcanon is that she remained trapped on Cybertron's moon eating all of her Insecticon minions until she ran out of food and died.

Pretty quickly as well; every Insecticon she bites becomes a terrorcon, and if Megatron couldn't control thee, she probably won't be able to either, so they'll start eating eachother, and the food supply dries up in a snap.

Not only was this the "Halloween" episode but also the callback episode where the Decepticons get their own versions of previous scenes the Autobots had. For example I know was cut out of the highlights but the scene where Starscream and Knockout were having a heart to heart is a call back to Prime and Arcee stranded in the Arctic with the same line "ironic after fighting Cons/Autobots all this time, getting shot at, smack down, blown up, this is how our lights go out" and the scene of Soundwave bridging Airachnid and the Incecticons to one of Cybertron's moons is a call back to him bridging Arcee to the Arctic when she infiltrated the warship trying to find Optimus when he was Orion, they both even gave a shout of frustration at the realization of being teleported. And this episode also provides a way of tying up loose ends before the series concludes, the end of Cylus, Airachnid, and reintroducing Synthetic Energon

yeah that moment with knockout and starscream with them talking about all the times they were shot at by the bots is a call back to when Arcee and Optimus had a similar talk in the scraplets episode back in season 1 and now with this incident the con forces have been reduce by over half so the bots job will be much easier now but it will also make it even more imperative for the cons to get predacon bones to clone a army it was a bit underwhelming with how arachnid was used in the series from her anti climatic final fight with Arcee to now being a space vampire robot witch never gets brought up again in any media is strange but all and all a great episode and it was impressive how quickly the cons contained that zombie outbreak in under 5 minutes

HEHEEEEEEE YEAAAAAAHH this is the Halloween episode, and what a way to send off Clancy Brown, Breakdown, Silas and Airachnid all in one go yes, this is the last we ever see of Airachnid, and word of god after the series' conclusion says that once she drained every Insecticon there, she eventually starved and died on that moon, with no means of reaching out to anyone or getting off it

The Vehicon Megatron killed was voiced by Peter Cullen himself (I guess he is now known as the infamous Optimus Prime Zombie Con lol). I love that Easter egg this episode 😂😂 Bro, these last five episodes of Season 3 and the movie are just OP. Every single episode from 9-13 comprises the best Transformers story arc I've ever seen. This Halloween episode is ironically one of favorites in the whole series. Can't wait for the last few episodes!! ❤

Both Cylus and Arachnid got what they deserved. Cylus was the torture of being used as a lab rat turned corrupted zombie which leads to led to his Demise! Arachnid was transformed into a cannibalistic zombie, forced to feed on her servants to survive on Cybertron's moon!

You're going to love the next epiosde. It has the best fight scene in any transformers media imo. Kinda disappointed you left out the conversation between Starscream and Knockout in the lab. Also the way, they run this episode was the best, especially Knockout lol. Also, though Starscream can be irritable for Megatron, he has his merits. Deadwing may be loyal, but loyalty alone won't make get him anywhere. He's not a schemer like Starscream, his success rates aren't like Soundwave's, and his code of honor hinders him a lot. Let's not forget that Starscream was the one who successfully took back the Omega Keys from the Autobots, not once, but TWICE. Scream may be treacherous, but there's a reason why Megatron and even Soundwave and Shockwave keep him him by their side. Next episode will show another example of this.

This episode is likely a hat tip to the original series g1. In season three after the movie there is an episode called dweller in the depths where ancient experimental crestions were discovered deep inside cybertron one being an energon drainer that infected transformers to be vampiric like this episodes.

This episode was HILARIOUS and I loved seeing an episode focused on the Decepticons point of view and watching Starscream and Knockout as a duo is always super fun especially in a zombie story. Honestly Silas kind of got what he deserved and I imagine being stuck in the dead corpse of another Cybertronian and used as a test subject is a fate worse than death. I do feel like however the way they tried to bring back Arachnid and tie it inot the story was sort of underwhelming especially since we never see her again after this episode and her stuck on a Cybertron's moon infecting other Insecticons
