Too bad Caribou Ranch closed. Some really great music was recorded there. That trail can be muddy during the summer.

So I'm a local, that trail does go all the way through to Eldora. The no motorized vehicles sign is on a side track that tries to go around the rock garden - the trail is super rough in the summer all the way to the summit knoll and there are tons of illegal side tracks that run parallel to the legal route that they have closed. The view from the knoll is nice, although the trail from the knoll down into Eldora is one of the most narrow shelf roads I've ever been on. Two years ago I had to rebuild portions of the road that were washed out in order to get my Tacoma down the trail, haven't run it since.

Came here to share the same info . . . and watched the video wondering if they tried the shelf. I've done it a couple times, but on an ATV. Never had the nerve to do it in my Tacoma.

Last fall I took my lx570 all the way through to Eudora. I don’t think a full size pickup would be a good idea. One or two very iffy spots on the trail overlooking Eldora.

That second section of Caribou goes all the way through to Eldora. Not sure if your app got you off trail - but you ended up coming back to about the halfway point. The last section into Eldora is probably the crux.

There are signs there that say no motorized vehicles. We tried to get through but turned around at the signs.

I think you missed 5he trail over the top to Eldora. Maybe you took a right after the real rocky section
