You both are giving, God angels a heartaches with no safety harness. Be safe my friends.

Hi , to both of you - on your high rise - very nice to see that you have such a wonderful & talented helper who cares about your safety, one thing thats a bit difficult to understand is why you don’t make a few roof ladders out of all that scrap timber thats laying about !!, i think that you should remember that what goes up must come back down & the way that you overreach from a step ladder is very dangerous - take care. Ed,

Cecil, you really need to look for an Acme No. 7 Sky Hook. They used to sell these in the States as a package deal with bird seed and an anvil. They work great for your high roof application. I would send you mine, but it blew away in a wind storm a few years ago when a big blue ox was logging on the property next door and got into a sneezing fit. My Acme Sky Hook was the handiest tool I ever had next to my left handed smoke shifter and my metric Crescent wrench. Flea markets are a good place to find them, just wear your bug repellent. The only downside to using an Acme Sky Hook is overcast weather. The lower the cloudy ceiling, the less lifting height you end up with. Lifting capacity was never a problem with mine. Just choke up on it. Good luck! Have fun. Stay safe. Whipple

I haven't been getting your notifications so I remarked it to see if it will notify me. Good job. Now stop doing that without a safety rope. I can tell you from experience, no matter how many times you've done it, it only takes one time. I landed flat of my back and luckily my sliding down the pitch of the three story slowed my fall but I still had 15 feet or a little less to go before it hit the ground. I was blessed, no broken bones but, serious bruising of about everywhere including ribs, kidneys, collar bone, shoulders and lower spine. I was very sore for a while but worked a day later. God bless Tennessee Hillbilly, Out.

What is the purpose of the lookout room? Forest fires? It is. Better to keep solar panels on the ground making them accessible for maintenance. You have the space.

@SkinnersHomesteading2 ай бұрын
Hello Kriss, thank you..once the decks are built around this lookout I will build and install a tower mounted to the deck. This tower will hold a few antennas and should stand about 40 feet from the deck....giving me a total height of 75 feet or so. Thanks again. You have a great day. Cheers!

Have you thought about a flag pole on top of Bert's lookout ? It could go another 30 feet higher and would be sure to bring in new viewers. I wonder if you are the tallest structure within 100 km...
