My favorite Casper memory was when he appeared a Hanna Barbera Christmas crossover special with Yogi Bear and Quick Draw McGraw on Boomerang every Christmas when I was little.

The fact that I *literally* talked about the Casper's Scare School movie today on a reaction to Casper (1995) saying how much I appreciated it for giving us an actually solid relationship between Casper and his uncles. 👀

I watched the movie and spin-off series as a kid during Spooky Month! I remember CN airing it around October, and I would watch it before school. Thanks for bringing back Spooky Month nostalgia.

People forgetting ghosts exist in a haunted town has the same vibes as a secretary in a power rangers episode telling a little girl "There's no such thing as monsters sweetie~" brushing her insisting this was an emergency...in a city with NONSTOP KAIJU ATTACKS. That said thanks for the Harvey Street Kids mention shout-out we need a LOT more of that in the world. His personality in that was pretty fun, almost an overthinking/worrying ghost that didn't know HOW to be scary while also bein pleasant haha

I love the idea of foisting half the voice roles on the one male actor. I wonder what that meeting was like.

Almost forgot about the scare school show, but honestly never would have thought that it would be the last time Casper would have any more shows or movies. Missed opportunity not being him back other than as a cameo in "Harvey Girls Forever"... which itself deviated in terms of character designs and personalities. 🤷

I always felt why watching scare school that Martha and casoer acted more like they were a couple then just friends especially near the end of the series that we git

You know I remember that 90’s cartoon as it’s like a sequel to the movie in most ways but I guess you know about Beetlejuice having a cartoon in the late 80’s to early 90’s?

Threw Casper Casper A Spirited Beginning Casper Meets Wendy Loved Those Casper Movies Never Realized Casper had an Animated series But wish it would be possible for Casper to make a Good Comeback but which Animation company could be best choice to Bring Back Casper The Friendly Ghost ? No offense to Disney but not Disney

DreamWorks owns the rights to the Casper franchise. They have attempted an animated movie in the 2010s but it was cancelled for unknown reasons. Later in 2022, it was announced that Peacock would be developing a gritty Riverdale style reboot with Casper being in highschool and investigates a dark secret in his town, Eternal Falls, as a character moves to town. They said Casper would've had friends with benefits. Meaning it would've been a teen romance show with a living Casper who dies but comes with the will of love for the girl he met. (Which if that's the plot they were gonna go with, then this show sounds terrible. I know the 1995 movie dealt with Casper falling in love but it's just a silly concept for writers to try to age up Casper to smooch a girl. He's "The Friendly Ghost" not "The Flirty Ghost" and going with a Riverdale approach is a bad sign it will suck.) Thankfully we haven't heard anything about it since it's announcement in April 2022. No script, no filming, no cast, or release date. It must've been quietly scrapped because of how stupid that sounded.

To be fair Casper was never a big Thing. He was allways just there.
@TheKelbeShow2 күн бұрын
he has always been there in our hearts

If he wasn't a "big thing" as you say, he wouldn't have so many spin-offs, multiple movies, comics, shows, or reboots.
