Hey Y'all. Some of you might be wondering why there was no use of any kind of effects. Best answer I can give you, is they weren't needed. This song struck me in a really deep way, and I feel like taking away from the natural impact would've tarnished its authenticity. This one is genuinely one I won't revisit for obvious reasons. Not out of distaste or any dislike of the song, but just the place it brings me back to. It's just to heavy for me. But I hope you still enjoy the video. Much Love and Worship, Rage.

Hi Ben, this might be one of the most important songs and videos in Sleep Token’s entire discography. This is Vessel at his most vulnerable, even without the mask if it is him in the video. It might explain the use of a vocoder on his vocals. I thought it was brave of you to re-listen again immediately and am glad you stopped when you felt uncomfortable doing so. I sometimes skip it when listening to TPWBYT and I have been skipping Are You Really Okay? from TMBTE too. It’s worth noting that Vessel has performed Fall for Me live and there are videos on KZbin. The remaining five tracks from TPWBYT continue on this theme (with perhaps the exception of Telomeres), so I’d recommend listening and reacting to them when you feel you are mentally ready. They all just have visualisers though. Sometimes music that comes from such a dark place can be strangely comforting, knowing you’re not feeling these things alone. Sending you my support. You got this. W O R S H I P

It's genuinely okay to not be able to listen to this one - it's not only one of Vessel's most vulnerable tracks, but also one of his most poignant. I think songs like this are the reason people connect to their music so much; it's so real that it hurts. Props for knowing what's best for yourself. If you shouldn't listen to it again, don't. Worship, friend.

You missed the “I am… no god” text. It feels to me like Vessel’s really struggling with the idea that people are loving and worshipping him, but in truth, he’s just another guy with his own insecurities.🖤

I am so proud of you for being so honest with us, we all love you for it and I am sure that most of us understand how you feel,( I know I do) and I think that is why so many of us connect so hard with Vessel and his music because he obviously has been through it all as well. He is able to so beautifully put into words the pain we all feel, he is helping us process our trauma in a safe way together.

This is such a beautiful song but it really hits different when watching the video too. It’s definitely Vessel in it too. It really is a difficult watch especially when like you I have been through years and years of depression, self hatred, self doubt and suicidal thoughts albeit the latter not recently. I’m really sorry you are going through/have been through these kinds of feelings it isn’t a nice place to be in. I’m glad although you restarted the song, you also knew you had to take a break again. As much as we all love your reactions, and you know I do as I spam the hell out of your channel 😅 you and your mental health and well-being is paramount. Sending lots of love and gentle hugs across the pond 🖤

Don't feel like your trapped doing these videos. If you need to go for a walk or stop during the video, just explain a little why and cut the video short. I'd rather have a truncated reaction, than to have you suffer needlessly. ST will heal us all eventually.
@Turiyaband Жыл бұрын
Fall For Me, The Way That You Were, and DYWTYLM are all cut from the same idea; that through our deepest pain, we learn to love ourselves. That through our deepest tragedies, we can find the beauty in who we are. Truly one of the most epic Sleep Token songs, in every way. The vocoder (octave) effect is used on his voice because anyone, of any vocal range can sing along with it, and be in key with one of the layers. Because this song is meant for all of us to sing together. Thank you for being real, and going on this amazing journey with all of us.

They got a Song for so many situations in peoples lives, especially the sad ones. This song hit me so hard because when I saw the video and all the lines that appeared on the screen that where my believes back then and instead of Vessel I saw myself acting like he did and only higher powers or fate saved me from leaving the world like this. To all you out there in despair.....get help, DON'T DO THIS, you will regret it forever!🙏

We're right there with you on this one it's a rough one. They really know how to send a message. It hurts but I love that they don't shy away from the messages that we sometimes need to hear for us to know we aren't alone in our feelings. 🖤

I think the reason this band of talent touches me is because they make it clear that pain is universal, and suffering is also. And it's easy to drown in it. Knowing that is the case is truly heartbreaking. I'm sorry we all know, whether spoken or not.

I'm sorry if I'm being redundant. But since this song hit you hard, cautiously listen to DYWTYLM. They're both a self-reflection. The latter is even more brutal. The message is, it's hard you love yourself. And heavily implied that you should anyway. I very very very much struggle with this. I'm downright fucking mean to myself. These songs are very important.

It's interesting, because a lot of us heard just the song before the video was released, and the video adds such a massive layer to it. For me, the song standalone is a separate entity from the song with the video. I just sat there in silence with my mouth open after. Also, I definitely also think it's Vessel. The feets match. 😅

I fell in love with DYWTYLM after I realized what the song was really about and now I'm listening to this a lot. As someone who's struggled with negative thoughts as well, it's 'reassuring' to know that Vessel gets it. Kinda like we're not alone in our struggles, gives me a feeling of solidarity with the ST community
