I think the problem was that they couldn't think of another way of homaging the 'Street Gang' genre of movies that were big in the 80s. Such a gang wouldn't really fit into Hawkins and so they needed a reason to have someone visit a 'Big City' and hang out with 'Tough Street Kids'. Given that I can't think of a better way of creating an homage to those movies I'm going to say they did the best they could, it just felt a but tacked on and like it didn't really fit.
@KitZunekaze2 жыл бұрын
@@andrewrawlings5220 Yeah to me this episode is them trying to fit in the references like they do with the rest of the series. X-men, Gang movies, Dystopian Action movies, Lots of references were put in here that don't 'fit' anywhere else. What makes the episode stand out so poorly is that it just didn't fit well. They tripped up a bit on the writing / pacing of it, and it made it all stand out as bad. That being said, it's a small mistake in an otherwise masterful series. Mistakes aren't a sign of a bad show, every series has mistakes in it. To be clear the mistake here is just that it wasn't handled in a way that fit with the rest of the series. There are definitely some cool elements to it, and you can see what they were ATTEMPTING to do, which if done well might have been amazing. I'm glad they tried and failed, rather than never having tried something like this at all.

What I don't like about the "Sith" thing is that a lot of people associate Kali's "training" with manipulation, when I don't think that was the point. Kali THOUGHT she was doing the right thing for Eleven because that's what she's been doing her whole life to give purpose to her life. She was left alone and with no purpose until she found her crew and they all together went to avenge what happened to her. She literally thought it was what Eleven needed and wanted ultimately, and maybe deep down it is, even tho she's not willing to go as far as murdering these people (I mean, those who know s4 know s4). To me, at no point Kali manipulated El, the show even makes El take away Kali's decision rather than Kali doing it to El, and Kali being pissed about it. To me, the episode title is as much about Kali herself "lost" in her own ways and trauma, than it is about Kali to El "lost" in a sense that she's from her past and they're reconnecting. To me, Kali is too important to El's story and the Lab to have her sidelined like she's been after this episode, it's just sad, she has so much potential.

Found your channel when you first released the Stranger Things reactions and GOD I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU TO WATCH MY FAVORITE SEASON (SEASON 3) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-

I think you are the first person I have seen ask for more of the sister story. I do agree that it might be better more spread out though. I am glad you are enjoying the series and I hope you remain unspoiled.

I am happy you didn't despise the sister episode. It definitely wasn't the strongest and it was very rushed but it gave El a push that she needed to fight the Mind Flayer and to find the strength within herself .

It has been... A MINUTE! Glad to see you again Nat. Maybe you have it already on schedule, but I'd have a blast rewatching Arcane with you. It's just one of those animations that you need tissues 😂

Oh this a big brain idea. It would be AWESOME if she watched Arcane

Steve may be my favorite character in any TV show as a person. Like there are others who are more interesting because they may have some bad habits or traits, but Steve is just the best. And the character arc the writers gave him is so good

Season 3 coming up... I struggled with that. But it is SO worth it when you get to season 4. The most epic season of any TV show in history 🙏🏼

After seeing the Mind Flayer episode, it’s amazing to me that people say season 4 is the scariest. This is SO GOOD.

season 4 is the scariest and most gruesome one yet. i still remember the chrissy scene in the end of episode 1. i was shook.

@@clave965 i mean it was an great scene but still terrifying. Its similar to how I am simultaneously scared and having a great time while watching a horror movie. Still felt really bad for Chrissy though, she was a nice person.

I felt the same EXACT way when Bob died. As soon as he came out and had that smile, I was like “welp, he’s gone.” It was so easy to know that because of how it was shot.

I love the how every character has so much depth. Even Bobby who is a abusive asshole has a reason why he is that way. Watching these characters evolve as they grow up is why we get so invested in those series. Especially Steve who was originally going to die in the first season. Now the ball really gets rolling.

If you are looking for movies with great acting and storylines. I highly recommend the movie Looper with Bruce Willis, and Cinderella Man with Russell Crowe.

I love it how in Season 1 they gave Noah Schnapp barely any screen time and then you get to see what hes capable of in this season, with the whole season really surrounding him.

I’ve always said that season 2 is not my favorite but it makes sense for the story and I still feel like it’s a necessary season in terms of progression, season 3 was the most enjoyable to watch and I can’t wait for you to react to it
