Adula's frost blade can do this type of damage as well and is far more functional for general use. Free aim the spell towards the center of mass and then the frost projectile should proc multiple times, causing damage each time. Its absolutely busted, easy 3-5k per swing

Check out the Death Ritual Spear from the Deathbird up in the Mountaintops of the Giants. Its skill summons a rain of black spears in an AoE. Has a similar effect on big bosses like Placidusax, and because the spears come from above, they also tend to screw over enemies with shields, like the Haligtree Knights.

Even without 80 80 its still pretty good. I did a bow only build where I used the black bow and the radahn bow and it was really good with only around 50/50 str/dex. The weapon art of radahns bow is insanely good with shard of alexander and arrows sting + sword talisman, I was able to easily stagger the fire giant with it and I even staggered elden beast usin it. The bow is also surprisingly good for pvp too. If you have a host and phantoms chasing you you can make distance and pop the radahn bow ash of war without locking on and the arrows will rain down on top of you so any aggressive players will run into that and get immediately shredded. If I remember correctly the bow could do close to 2k damage if most of the arrows hit which is technically a one shot since you only waste one arrow to do it.

80 / 80 doesn’t really do much, scaling in this game isn’t super crazy, the reason this weapon melts dragonlord specifically is because he’s so stationary and it allows you to stay at long range, this weapon wouldn’t be anywhere near as good with this build or otherwise against many other bosses

I did a bow only build on my 3rd playthrough about a week or so after the game launched and radahns bow was prolly my fav weapon ever. If anyone is thinking about doing a bow build then use the black bow and radahns bow as an offhand for the aow not only is it a great combo but having the greatbow on your back looks badass as hell.

Lightning storm with gravel stone seal and 60 faith with a bit of dex and buffs and talismans usually 1 or 2 shots most bosses. Each strike hits for like 4k and if you get multiple bolts to hit usually you're hitting for 16-22k each time. Definitely end game tho

It's even faster with meteor of astel I didn't even have the magic scorpion on at the time but I had most of the sorcery buffs and killed him in like 20 seconds flat if it was fully optimized u could prob do 15 maybe even faster

In case anyone was wondering if this works at lower damage stats, I just tried this with 30 end, 55 str, 60 dex, and only 10 mind lol. I didn't have seppuku or that weapon that Niall dropped but had everything else. It obviously took a bit longer but worked like a charm especially with mimic distracting. Definitely need atleast 6 blue flasks. Great vid.

How's it fare against Elden Beast? EB is even bigger right? Honestly I found the Dragonlord to be depressingly easy. Maybe it's because the level-scaling of Farum Azula is supposed to be lower than Consecrated Snowfield/Haligtree and I already did those.

EB is moving a lot, and its hitbox isn't as broken as this guy, but the bow is still a great weapon against it. Debatably easier than going melee, and chasing the slug for an hour.

Fun fact about Placidusax's arena. Despite the game presenting it as being far back in time, the arena itself is actually at the very top of the tornado. The reason for this is because of how the map and level designs were made. Fromsoft had to cleverly hide the arena where no player could possibly see it from anywhere in Farum Azula. Mechanically, it's always been there.

It wouldn't be unfair, they're as large as several barns put together, it should be literally impossible to miss a thing that huge. That bow is quite a bit less effective against smaller targets, or moving targets, especially fast moving ones which also change direction often. But big ones? Lovely.

There's a point where adding more health to the boss becomes pointless, because fight should not be about adding bigger and bigger healthpool to the boss and have players spend time chipping it away. But in case of these bosses, that bow would always be more effective against them then against Malenia - they're big, they'll get hit with every arrow from that barrage. Malenia is small, thus half of the arrows at least would miss her. Well, perhaps not when she's in her winged form, as that's bigger or when she's in bloom form. And not when she's moving, as she has time to get out of the hit area. Plus she also dodges incoming projectiles, something what big bosses can't do (would make no sense to add that function to them either). But all in all yes, Malenia should not have bigger health pool then some dragon boss or Elden Beast, though I have to admit that I've never actually looked how much health she has in total. Was kind of busy :) Plus, she does have two health pools, as she has two phases/forms.

The ash of war by itself is amazing. If you get it and put it to a regular longbow, you can apply status effect by only using one arrow. Also, i think that regular Great bow outclasses Radhan bow with the same ash of war. One of the best ashes in game
