Regarding the bins, we use automated garbage collection trucks, an arm on the side extends and two fingers with stretched rubber swing closer around the bin to hold it in place. If the gap between bins is too small, then the fingers of the lift arm won't fit and the driver either has to get our and move the bins or be lazy and get creative with his robot arm controls. Another thing a lot of people don't realise is the arm actually has a LOT of extension. Most people position their bins RIGHT on the curb, but they don't need to.

That's a hangover from the older style trucks where it didn't have the extended robotic arm but just a hoist that could just about reach a foot out, but generally the Garbo riding on the back had to hop off and manually insert the bins into the mechanism.

Milo tends not to dissolve entirely in the glass (particularly when you use a lot of it), leaving a chocolatey residue on top , and because Milo is itself quite granular the residue forms a thick chocolate foam which is its own form of indulgence. So the answer to "how much Milo do you put in the glass?" is "How much do you want a drink, and how much you want a goopy, tasty chocolate snack?" Milo, when I was a kid, had to float on top of the cold milk in a large quantity so it could be eaten off with a spoon. A small amount was allowed to mix with the milk to drink! Milo was also eaten direct from the tin if Mum wasn't around.

echidnas and porcupines are actually pretty different. Porcupines are rodents and echidnas are an “ancient marsupial”. If you look at their faces they’re completely different. Echidnas closest relative is the platypus. porcupines can shoot their quils out but the echidnas spines can’t eject. There are waaay more differences but don’t wanna go on forever, werid interesting creatures ✌🏻

Bins, the further apart the easier the truck driver can collet without tipping over other bins over, which will not be his problem, the land owner would have to clean up the mess. Social, experiment, in our area, red, yellow bin collected fortnightly, green weekly, put a red or yellow bin out on the kerb the night before on the wrong week, see how many people follow suit. Most times, people can't remember which bin due to be put out. Lol

In Sydney suburbs we have recycling centres for glass, drink cans & bottles that have a 10 Cent refund return marking. The MyTomra machines are automated so you just insert each item and it tallies 10 cents per item. You can either print a total voucher, or get a digital receipt credit on your mobile phone. You can even donate the total amount per voucher. The 10 cents is charged as part of the purchase price so if you don’t put the empty container in the machine, you don’t get the refund. If it goes in the recycling bin, the manufacturer gets to keep the 10 cents refund and, eventually, once the recycling bin is sorted, the used bottle or can. So there is no need to put glass, cans or plastic bottles in the recycling bin any more. Just use it for paper, cardboard and other plastic items, like packaging.

Fishtailing high torque rear wheel drive vehicles (commonly utes and some high powered cars) from a stationary or slow moving position is an extremely common mistake made by people that haven't learned how to properly control their vehicle in a skid and impatiently want to accelerate faster than physics will let them. They hit the accelerator too hard, the back end throws everything it has at accelerating but the front is yet to get the message, so the back end tries to go around the front end which causes it to skid and drift sideways, but instead of easing off the acceleration and keep the steering steady, the incompetent driver tries to compensate by steering out of the skid which sends their rear end out even further, and they then panic and oversteer and accelerate in the other direction, which just makes the back of the ute fly wildly sideways in the other direction, so they brake hard which fishtails the car more, so their foot goes back on the accelerator, and from there they're swaying all over the road with no idea what is going on least of all what to do about it until they hit something that stops them. It's a case of ignorance, arrogance, impatience, and incompetence clashing in a spectacular manner, and I can't help but laugh at the driver every time I see it happen.

the 'bush block' is not just to camp. its basically just a piece of land that has not been cleared or not 100% cleared. people buy them and build a 'homestead' on them (a term you're probably more familiar with). some people do camp on them, some buy them to ride dirt bikes, some use them for animals, some build cabins or shacks and some do nothing with them at all,m they just buy them when they are cheap with plans to build a home and never actually do it because they don't realise how expensive it can be to get power onto the property (i have seen some quotes of 100's of thousands of $ just to get power to a remote block). a bush block can be big or small, can be as small as a block of land in your average suburb or it can be many km to a side.

Our local council has suggested a 1 metre gap between the bins to allow the lifting arm on the refuse trucks clearance when picking up the garbage/rubbish/reclyclables. This will effectively also prevent the lifting arm from accidentally knocking over the bin/s it isn't there to collect. It has also been suggested by the same council that failure to do so may result in the bins not being emptied. So, mine are 1 metre apart for pickups.... ^_^

Depends on where you are. Our council collects meat and bone scraps as well as pizza boxes and non plastic food containers in our green bins as well as garden refuse.
