Hey mate. Been catching up on your videos. Glad you got the old job back. Your front lawn looks well😂. Maybe get Curtis in to sort it 👍 weather is relentless still. Hopefully a long season at the end. As for the parish job it sounds like they wanted the other guy no matter what you did.

Hey Scott, Thanks for catching up on the videos, It's a shame about the parish work, and although they're not returning my emails, i have noticed they've taken on board my thoughts on improvements and have started implementing them. 😂

My advice for trampolines, don't get one. Horrible things 😂 Do you have a selective lawn weedkiller you reccomend?
@TheLawnGuy6 ай бұрын
Lol couldn't agree more! I use a few but Crossbar is my goto selective

Hello! Please help! After applying sand top dressing (half m3 /100m2) and smoothing it with a leveling rake, I noticed that no matter how I try to level the area, there remain tender, thin and weak horizontally lying blades of grass under the sand. Should I worry about them, or will they come out after a few days? They emerge as a result of a water jet (or water sprayed from half a meter away), but this slightly erodes the effect of leveling because it re-excavates the area filled with sand between the larger clumps of old grass, and can also displace upturned seeds and fertilizer particles. So far, I have applied only half of the planned amount of top dressing, I don't dare to spread more, I would like to wait until the grass grows a little (I cut it into short pieces before aerating the lawn). At the same time, I don't think I can wait too long, because I sowed fast-germinating seeds, and once the new grass comes, it shouldn't be necessary to loosen the soil. What do you advise?

I'd be overseeding & levelling to the best of my abilities, then keeping off the area as well as keeping the seed damp as best as I could for at least two weeks before I would expect to see any change. And then keep watering. Patience is the name of the game.

@@TheLawnGuy nice answer, I like your style. :) Patience is something I should learn.... by dealing with nature. I gave starter fertilizer and also natural stuff ( biosol forte) and a LOT of water 4 times a day. (Hopefully not too much.) :D I see a lot of very thin blades of grass (certainly NOT the current sowing it is too early for that), could it be that new shoots have started as a result of lawn aeration? The weather is quite good with 20-25 celsius days, lots of nutrients and water. In the optimal case, can the new shoots started by lawn aeration appear in 2 days?

Why aren’t you using 2 stroke equipment ? Saves a a lot of hassle and stress if a battery isn’t charged or knackered
@TheLawnGuy6 ай бұрын
To be honest, I've been using battery for nearly 2 years, and that's the first time something like that has happened. The main reason for the switchover is due to 20 plus years of vibration damage in my elbows

@@TheLawnGuy I remember you mentioning this in your meet up with Greg and Mike a while back .
