It was a great week of hunting with Brian ! All parts (1/2/ and 3) :) The shot on the cruiser boar in the opening of this video was perfect , patience paid off waiting on him. CSMF

That first coyote looked like he had a gimpy leg or something. He didn't limp, but he didn't walk right either.

My guess is that he stepped on a sticker bur. The field is lousy with them.

@@CarpeSus I was on vacation in West Texas a couple weeks ago and that area is full of them. When we got back to our cabin at the end of the day, my walking shoe soles and strings were full of them. Never seen so many burrs.

Great find--the motorized viewer! What I could have seen in the Amazon had I owned such technology (not available at the time, of course-mid '60s to -mid '70s)

Mr. S! Well, they now make fully enclosed, weather-rated units. All I did was to clamp a thermal on the pan-tilt. It is NOT weather rated and jiggles too much for driving with it, but as a stationary scanner, it is a sweet setup. Given that I hunt some 20 properties and non have permanent shelters/blinds for me to use, I do a lot from the cab of my truck. Apparently, hogs and most game don't see the vehicle as being a threat. So the addition of the vehicle to a field does not seem to bother the animals. So I have a portable blind, thermal does not see through glass and either I open all my windows (for limited views), get out and walk around the truck (complete views), stand in the bed of the truck (elevated complete views) or I can mount something on the roof and stay inside where it is warm (in winter).

@@CarpeSus I learned some basic elements of hunting from accompanying Indigenous companions in the RainForest. I watch/listen to you giving distress cries to attract the attention of your Game. The Indigenous hunters also did that--I have used it effectively to attract birds here in Texas--not to hunt but to observe--to draw them closer. Your videos are wonderful to watch--also, I see you as dealing with the terrible hog problem here in Texas. Besides enjoying The Hunt--you and your companions are doing a great service for so many farmers and ranchers!

That thing is a motorized pan-tilt camera mount from Amazon with an InfiRay Finder mounted on top. Here is a link to the mount. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B51H829X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
