Netero and Hisoka end up being the most similar characters as far as goals go. They both really just want to face powerful opponents and overcome them or die trying. Netero is just not as sociopathic or malicious, but maybe Hisoka would relax too if he had easy access to the strongest opponents in the world.

For me Netero is scarier than Hisoka for the fact that Netero pretends to be a happy-go-lucky man for most of the series, and it was only at his death that the façade was completely worn off and the audience saw him for who he truly was, and to make matters worse, he was in charge of one of the most powerful organization in the world that shaped potential events around the human world. At least with Hisoka, he doesn't hide his dark sociopathic tendencies, so we knew who we were dealing with.

How is how much it costs to conjure something decided? I see 4 options: Mass, Complexity, Individual Feelings, Group-Feelings Aka Economy! In Star Trek they literally have Conjuration-Nen but its called Repilcator and they even outright say about its function "Gold is one of the simpliest things so its easiest to make." I think the most realistic scenario I see for this is Hisoka running just because he knows that some of the most powerful hunters around would be forced to try and stop him out of fear for what he might do and then he'd finally get to fight some of them that would refuse otherwise

ive said this before. even in the Exam arc, we are shown that Netero and Hisoka are the most alike. the magnitude is so funny, that when Hisoka challenges him and says he wants to fight him most of all, Netero doesnt even give him the time of day, with how far below him he is.

And he stated that he expects that the zodiacs sparred with him and that includes parritain and ging and even Zeno zoldyck and maha who yes is alive during the yorknew arc but anyway buy the time the election arc goes by hesoka and illumi surpasses at least most of the zodiacs outher then parritain hill and ging I also believe Silva is stronger then hesoka up untill post mordom nen becouse Silva killed number 4 and that would make chrollo mad so chrollo would not hold back and Silva still walked away fine he just thought the money wasn't worth it and Zeno is clearly stronger then Silva but probably not by much but Maha is top 5 strongest

I think he's more in line with netero, in the sense that he wants to battle an opponent and win. And when netero went to the dark continent he said, theres no victory to be had, only survival. Hisoka gets off on battling, not surviving. Its why netero didnt hang out there fighting threats and stuff cuz dealing with them goes beyond who can win in a fight

Pariston is literally the politician version of Hisoka though, All he cares about is having fun and he gave up the chairman position on purpose because it'd give him more freedom to do stuff behind the scenes, I'd imagine Hisoka would've done the same.

It would be an amusing twist, but I honestly think he's too impatient to want to lead it outright. I can see him having some position in the organization as a strategic means of finding strong enemies. He's proven he can delay gratification and enact slow, cunning plans (letting Gon develop his power, infiltrating the Spiders as examples), so I think he's capable of seeing the potential worth in joining it in order to improve his network and resources. I think if Gon or Leorio joined the organisation in positions of higher authority maybe he'd join, but I think something in the dark continent arc would have to be the catalyst toward them accepting him or suggesting he joins. I can't see Killua caring much unless Gon is there and Kurapika is too much of a lone wolf doing his own thing to want a position IMO. Maybe having Hisoka around would be case of 'better the devil you know' with Gon/Leo keeping him on a short leash as a frenemy that can occasionally serve their mutual goals - they can use him in dangerous battles, he gets to enjoy dangerous battles etc.

I would argue the V5 dont have control over the Association but more are having enough power or money to make the Association deal with their problems. The Ant situation in particular was something Netero knew they had to deal with so he was probably much inclined to take a deal/wish for them. The promise of imeasurable strong enemys was just his personal Cherry on top

Either way you look at it. I seriously doubt Hisoka will die in this current arc. Just watch this death-conquering madman cut down another good bit of the Phantom Troupe. My guess is he’s gonna finish Franklin and Feitan (or potentially cripple or permanently injure Feitan in some way, considering that it would be quite fitting).

It would be a sick fight to witness, both are transmuters and fast like crazy, I feel like Hisoka has some kind of hidden card up his sleeve (yes, pun intended) because that calm and confident demeanor is not without reason. Furthermore, I feel like Franklin being alone is what will he his downfall, should he ever come across Hisoka it should almost like a parallel to the fight with Gotoh (though I’m not sure if his nen bullets will also bounce off, or pierce through the gum, or simply create a lodging force which could give Hisoka trouble, though I still feel he’s gonna win. I don’t know why, but I just have a strong feeling that it’s at least those members specifically that will die (or get seriously brutalized by Hisoka, possibly because of their current whereabouts and the fact that during their introductory walk, Feitan and Franklin were the only ones to underestimate Hisoka’s ability and I think it might poetically backfire on them. (Plus I really want to see those two get their deserved fates out of anybody due to obvious reasons) Kurapika might even end up combatting with Nobunaga (due to his sworn vengeance) and if it doesn’t reach a deathly verdict, it might unexpectedly result in some kind of surprising conversation of sorts. Sorry for my yammering, it’s just not everyday I get to share my theorizing ideas on future happenings in this masterpiece, especially as an addict to storytelling.

One thing I’m really curious to how it unfolds is what will Hisoka do When he has to kill illumi’s younger sister kalluto in the phantom troupe? I mean In Chairman election he showed the willingness to kill killua even though he was trying to save gon. Yet for some reason I can’t imagine hisoka going through with killing kalluto because the deal with illumi not to kill family. I have a theory that illumi will help Hisoka wipe out the phantom troupe to save kalluto but if Hisoka kills her illumi will loose his shit and wage war on hisoka. I hope they instead work together it would be cooler to see but I always enjoy what togashi cooks up

You know I'm not going to lie I really got to say that I genuinely like the contrast between the 1999 version of HunterxHunter and the 2011 version of the series. In the 1999 version hisoka was interested in fighting Kurapika but was less blood thirsty to do so in that version as opposed to the 2011 version where he wasn't keen on fighting him at all. I just really like the parallel between the two versions of the show/series imo lol. 🤣🤣🤣
