I always had a theory that if Kurapica becomes the leader of the Spider with all the Spiders involved in the Kurta massacre being killed. Chlorro, towards the end, gives his life to save Kurapica and tells him to lead the remaining Phantom Troupe members and to continue his vision and become a better person than he became, and Kurapica reluctantly becomes the leader of the new Phantom Troupe.

Also, they fight to ensure the Spider always survives and protects Meteor City. The problem is that they became evil and ultimately went to the dark side. Throughout the whole thing, I said that a lot of ifs have to happen, and it is a wild theory. First, Chlorro has to die, and the Spiders would do something to help Kurapica out. Kurapica has to let go of their hatred, and the Spiders acknowledge their mistakes. Also, we have to find out the full story with Sheila. So, in the end, it can turn out that the Spider will survive, with the majority being dead and Kurapica being the new leader and recruiting new members.

The "original members getting gradually replaced" also makes me think of The Zodiac. Which coincidentally (or not so coincidentally) has the same number of members, 12. The death of Netero and departure of Ging and Pariston resulted in a messy chairman election, and then Leorio and Kurapika hastily being added to the Zodiac. Given the assured chaos soon to take place on the Black Whale, more members will likely perish. Will they be replaced, too? Possibly. They are overly concerned with appearances. If there's any trope that tends to recur in every arc of HxH, it's that when the main characters show up, the established order as has existed in stability for years or decades is going to be overthrown, and chaos will ensue with a later attempt at reorganization.

Chrollo might be killed by the 4th prince, Kurapika might be killed by Illumi, Hisoka be killed by Leorio. Togashi is unpredictable. Anything can happen, which is why this Arc is gonna be mad exciting...if Togashi ever finishes it.

Actually, in Japanese there are 3 numbers among the first 10 figures which accordingly can take misfortune. 4 as it can be read as "shi" (it's usual you say it as "yon"), same pronunciation of the word death (四 this one is 4, 死 this is death), 7 as it can be read as "shichi", so death and blood ("nana" is the other way to pronounce it, 七 this is 7, 死地) and 9 read as "ku", that could mean suffering/sufference/pain (read the other way as "kyu", 九 as 9 and this 苦 as pain/sufference). In order of course 4 is the one thought more usually to bring misfortune and it's rather usual to see all the other numbers ending with 4 as something bad, followed by 9 (the kanji for pain is something old under some grass) and followed by 7...
