I think you have straw and hay mixed up. Hay is much more nutritious and is what is typically fed to livestock as a food source. (in my region it’s alfalfa or clover) and straw (wheat stalks after the wheat has been harvested ) is used for livestock bedding and animals can eat it but it’s typically used as a fiber source and to thin out high nutrient stuff like oats or for weight loss. note is straw is almost 100% gmo and has revived typically 2 doses of roundup (glyphosate) In a typically season along with a broad spectrum herbicide.

For sure awesome results; but also for sure you can simply apply the principal of parsimony; and cut all that time in half if not more. It shouldn’t take you 10 mins to explain how to drill a hole, you over complicate every single thing and go on and on about how to do things the hardest way. I have had the same awesome results he does and yes I’ve endured many of his videos as he does know his stuff. But again doing everything the hard and king way. While Willy was fckn around with RTV silicone and making a mess, I had already ordered self healing sticky pads, simple and clean and fast. No need for tin foil, no need for air hood, no need for soaking and simmering, and so on and on. Take a chance a find that fine line between success and failure by trying out different ways. You’ll find that like nature they don’t require the extremes so many people go to. I’ve used peroxide instead alcohol and works just the same and cheaper.

I just buy calcium carbonate from the same hardware store where I buy my gypsum. Oyster shells are like 10 times+ the price of just regular calcium carbonate.
