Great Tip. So far I used the grain water to water the plants. The only thing you shouldn’t do is storing the grain water at room temperature . Unless you want to have something that resembles a biological weapon after a couple of days.

My creekline sprouts alot of culinary varieties on fallen trees, but the pasture only produces useless species and I'm trying to come up with a good way to mass inoculate my field. You can barely walk without hopping a pie. I have 2 ideas and wonder what you think 1. Inoculate whole corn fairly dry and feed it to the cows. They don't chew whole grains and it comes out whole just like it does in people. This fall I fed them wheat hay and the grains they pooped actually germinate. So I'm thinking myco growth in the corn (or wheat or whole oat) may survive the digestive tract 2. Make 10 gallons of culture and just spray it on the field where there is alot of manure What would you do?

I like the use of the screen to dry grains! Sometimes my motivation to make bulk spawn is low because evaporating the surface moisture from the grain uses every baking sheet in my kitchen and achieving uniform surface moisture becomes a time and space consuming process. I went to my local hardware store and bought a small window screen for ~$11 US. I think its a good alternative if folks dont have the tools to build their own screen and it saved a lot of time

I do my grains at 15-18psi for 2.5 hrs, agar at 15-18psi for 15-20 min, and it has worked great for many years. I would recommend getting extra gaskets though to have one hand. Need to change the gasket AT LEAST every 6 months to a year depending on how often its used. If used often 2x weekly or more change it every 3-6 months. DO what works for YOU. There is NOT just one way or any certain way it has to be done. Every area geographically is going to need your set up to work a little different depending on many factors. BE nature.

Personal experience: I would not say flashback but I did have had momentarily placebos and not having done any Mushrooms for 1-2 years. Happened to me twice when smoking weed. Very brief moment where it feels like you got pulled back into a tunnel (not drastic) with that feeling in your neck/spine (when you take mushrooms) with a light sense of floating. If I remember correctly there was also some visual distortions. This was like 1-1.5 second long and a bit of a jump scare but then came right back to the normal high state.

This is my procedure: When I have done the bags, had the millets or brown rice soiled in the water for 18-24 hours, pressure cooked them, waiting another 24 hours, I injuculate, and after 2-3 weeeks I have about 10% mycelium visible. Then I break this, I mix all together in the bag, and then… the mycelium in many cases stops growing 🥹 Temp in the DARK bathroom is 24 celsius (75f). 1-3 bags now this has happened (i ve only done 4 bags so far), and I dont understand what is the issue? Should I wait with the grain and having this in the air after soiling? Too wet grains? Should I wait longer before breaking the mycelium down? Wait till 30 % size of the bag instead? Can you help me, or someone who knows? 🙏
