Looking forward to the cooking! This mostly just made me happy that Hiro could enjoy a nice day out fishing without being seasick. I remember when you guys went out on the tuna boat in California and poor Hiro was sick the entire time. I felt so bad for him.

Yikes -- that was not ikejime -- it was a horror show. Did she even realize that she was missing the brain on those dolphin?? The brain is generally **at or above** the level of the eye, not below it like she was saying. The guy spiking the tunas knew what he was doing.

talking about not stressing the fish in order not to spoil the meat.. at the same time the deck hand is standing on the mahi...

I actually doubt it I have seen better , you should check out how the Japanese chefs do it they never miss a step and the cuting of the meat close to the gills is a no no just removing the girls is enough after ikejime once you shinkejime you can literally drop the fish in water or run the hose through the mouth or back but easiest is just dropping the fish in water and it will naturally bleed out. These guys take alittle too many extra steps. Check out some Japanese fishermen shows and you will see what I am talking about I recommend check out Hamayu’s channel kids been fishing since 17 in Japan and comes from 3 generations of fishermen they just got the finesse and technique down to a science

Good job on taking care of the fish after the catch. However be careful when you have a sharp hook hanging out the mouth of a fish flopping around on deck. Could have easily hooked your leg and cause some damage. Last thing you want is to be out at sea with a hook in your leg and a mahi attached to it going nuts 😂 Great video great content keep up the good work 🤙🏼

There's an artery behind the pectoral fin but the guy missed it. Blood flows out massively when it's done right.

Spike, bleed, slush, ice...those things I go for. While the wire thing is cool, not sure I see a lot of return for the investment of time. It IS cool though! "I LIKE BAIT!" 😂
