I'm no longer worried about what others say about us. The last piece for us is to sort out the governance issue. I think once we unlock that piece, we will unlock West Africa
@serendipityjl234
@serendipityjl234 2 жыл бұрын
Um, no. The last piece Nigerians need to figure out is to stop cheating each other or trying to take advantage of each other or a situation to get money. That's a problem from the bottom to the top. If the average Nigerian could learn to put his fellow Nigerian first instead of always focusing on how he or she can enrich him or herself through underhanded means, then Nigeria would go far. The Nigerian system is crippled by the fact that we have to bribe someone at every level to get something done.

Even though I'm not Nigerian. I love how hard you guys work and how caring you are. I have parents from Zambia and kenya. We went to live in SA when I was a kid. Most of our neighbors weren't so nice to us but one of them , Uncle Issac was so kind to my family. He helped several times to drop us(me and my siblings) at school and took us to his church and invited us to cookouts with his fellow Nigerians living in SA. Best proud, fun and kind people I have ever met. This was in the early 2000's but I still till this day remember how his actions towards my family show the true spirit of Nigerians ❤️

I'm South African and I looove Nigerians. There's a misconception about South Africans "hating" Nigerians. You have to understand that South Africa has it's internal problems big time and the people of SA are frustrated with the government and the corruption as well just like other countries in Africa. People fought and died for the country to get its freedom but instead what does the black man do when he gets power.....he oppresses his fellow people with corruption and nepotism. In South Africa the average black person is poor, uneducated and if working is underpaid. You find every kind of person in SA.....Zimbabwean, Mozambiquean, Pakistani, Chinese, Portuguese, French, Indian, Madagascan etc. Now if people were oppressed and they fight for years to get things right it will take a long time to fix and heal the people and country as a whole because mentally and emotionally they are not ok(there was a Truth and Reconciliation Commission where black families had to listen to how their sons and daughters and uncles and parents were murdered cruelly and buried like dogs in unmarked graves by the white Afrikaaner people for sport) these are things that happened from the times of our ancestors until our times. I am not even 40 but I saw a glimps of Apartheid and we still experience racism today). Now what the government should have done is maybe teach people about others countries and traditions so that when people from other countries come to SA then there is a familiarity. South Africans are not travellers (a few do travel and emigrate but mostly it was the white people who left when black people came into power). I HATE what happened with the Xenophobic attacks, it hurt me to the core. Zimbabweans were attacked, Nigerians were attacked, Mozambiqueans were attacked (black on black violence) yet there are also white foreign people in SA and white people don't do that to eachother. I personally was exposed at an early age to different cultures and nationalities coz I went to a multiracial school where I had Angolan friends,a Swiss friend who was an exchange student and I had plenty white friends. There were Chinese, Portuguese and Indian kids at school. With that being said I must also say that me being exposed to different cultures in SA (I have a Zimbabwean brother in law, A Congolese brother in law and my aunt is married to a Mozambiquean (From Maputo) and I've dated Mozambique and my best friend who is late now used to date only Nigerians. Now in SA if you are exposed to a bit of the underworld you will know which nationalities to go to for specific things. Zimbabweans are synonymous with Heists and they work with the locals of course and Zimbabweans have a tribal war going on between the Ndebele and the Shona and they have brought it with them into SA and it gets brutal at times, Lesotho people are into illegal gold mining and they are brutal too because they smuggle illegal guns into the country and they kill anyone and anything that disturbs them (there are even gun battles between them and the police at times, Swaziland is the supplier of the best Marijuana in SA but mostly South Africans go to Swaziland to buy and it is illegal in SA to sell. Nigerians are synonymous with drugs and scamming people 419 and they work with the locals as well(Considered to be the intelligent and masterminds of complex schemes), Mozambiqueans are synonymous with stealing of cars and sending them across the boarder to Moz and how would they achieve that you may ask? Simple.....they work with local police 😓 and what are South Africans synonymous with you may ask? Rape, hijacking, xenophobia, gender based violence, promiscuity, murder......we find children killed and dumped in fields all the time, women are killed by their partners, we currently have a crisis in one province where many children who as young as 10 years old being pregnant 💔💔💔💔💔 South Africa is unanimous with crime and being dangerous internationally and that is a fact. With all that being said.....South Africa has it's own internal problems and maybe we were not yet ready and strong enough to handle the influx of people that came here. Maybe we needed to fix our problems first then open up the country the way we did once the people of the country were taken care of. With all that being said there is no excuse for xenophobia. Things are tense between Nigerians and South Africans in Johannesburg as we speak..... a few weeks ago I went to Jhb CBD to stock ankara matrial and the first store I went into was a Nigerian owned store to patronize them and the rudeness and harshness I experienced there from the store owner and what I assume is the wife was unbelievable, I left and bought from the store nextdoor (Pakistani nationals) and the amount of stock I bought was a lot (worth thousands of Rands) and the Nigerian guy saw us leaving and you could see the look of regret from his face. I told myself maybe it's a defensive mechanism from something they must have experienced from South Africans 🤷‍♀️ I'll never know

However not everything and everybody is”black”(European description of negativity. Actually, we may not use the word here in Germany anymore: a kind of racism). I’ve been to the country twice(next travel will be coming up). Like everywhere also in the country are good and not good people. However I’ve met up with those good ones. There’s a way to go up and develop lots of things. A friend of mine is from the country. That’s why I visit the country. I self represent a country of the 2nd world. Nevertheless my homeland has achieved a great and incredible job/experience so far. My homeland(Poland)was even poorer than the country(Nigeria)30/40/50 years ago. That’s why I think that Nigeria has a potential for getting a crucial player in Africa and even in the world. It’s just up to you what and how you make it in the end. Like always you create interesting videos on here. Best regards. Greetings from your loyal subscriber from Europe.

It is time Nigerians stop separating themselves from those who hold power to govern and understand they can either be the solution or part of the problem( which so far has always been the latter). FCT local council elections were held and it had one of the lowest turnout ever.

Haha Tayo why did you cut it at "because"?!?! 😅 anyway Nigeria is my long lost love😍 and it all made sense why when I found out my ancestry is one-third Naija 😊 (God truly blessed me😅😆)and I know "some" Nigerians immediately disregard people when they talk like this, because if you weren't born and bred in Nigeria they don't see you as being a part of them, and yea I kinda get it, but some fail to see the Big Picture, that the ONLY difference between those who were "fortunate" enough to remain in their homeland and those who weren't, was that SOME of our ancestors were put on Boats, and others weren't! And we didn't control that! And yes I also have to acknowledge that I am one-third European, which ONLY proves colonizers were raping my ancestral grandmothers! 😭 I had no control over this either! I think its terrible when we cancel people for things they literally had no power over🤦🏽‍♀️I know there are some who choose to remain ignorant about their roots, but some of us want to Fully embrace them, and ESPECIALLY when it comes to our African heritage, since that's what was stolen..so instead of canceling some of us, why not take the opportunity to teach us? We are your brothers/sisters whether you like it or not, even if only a half brother/sister haha..but I like what one true Nigerian friend told me is, if you have any Nigerian in your blood, you are Nigerian!😂 I love Nigeria no matter what anyone says, there are issues all over this world, in any country, and its only that countries with higher populations have more challenges/issues to deal with because there are more people..I cant wait until I have the opportunity to spend time there, even the Nigerians that may not like me, its ok, I love you 💋🇳🇬💋🇳🇬💋🇳🇬💋

Tayo, we can't wait any longer to have the full video. Ọmọ dáadáa ni Tayo. Keep doing the great Job. I wouldn't know the offence of Nigeria, Nigerians, and the Dark skinned humans with the Western and other International media. They keep pinning famine, poverty, violence, corruption, and negative things on us, and would hardly talk about our positives.
