Hi @Gibsunday I have question hoping you or anyone can answer. I have the TX Underfacer w/RMT. I get why having the pedal is useful on the board. Here's my dumb question. Is there any reason why I couldn't or wouldn't want to mount the RMT pedal UNDERNEATH the board? If I'm using stereo and I'm happy with my setup why would I need to get to it say if I'm playing on stage? What am I missing? If I'm happy with the setup why would I want to change anything while performing? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Steve, the RMT has two purposes- mono to stereo switching and full mute. If you don’t use it as a kill switch and never jump from stereo to mono, you don’t really need the RMT. However, if you use it as a Mute, then you’ll have to have it on top to access it. This is how I use it and it works great. You’re likely to never switch from Stereo to Mono mid-set, but you might need to if a cable fails. Does that answer your question?

Hi, and thank you as it does answer my question. Ok so one reason why I would either not use the RMT or I would mount it underneath is I also have a True bypass looper with a dedicated Mute switch. The MAIN reason for asking is room on the board is very tight so if I mount the RMT underneath then that helps a little. Thanks.

In your opinion, how does the summing in this pedal compare to running your stereo pedals in mono? The one complaint I've heard about this strategy is that summing produces different results... wondering if this is a real problem.

Great question. I’ve only had success using the summing feature and haven’t noticed any discernible differences or troubles with it. Everything Goodwood makes is fantastic and super reliable, so I’m sure that has a lot to do with it.

You mention in the video that this has helped you run your wet dry wet setup. Are you using another box in addition to the Underfacer to achieve that? I'm still trying to wrap my head around WDW, but from what I know so far I believe you need phase flip and ground lift capability for two of the three outputs. I'm guessing having phase flip and ground lift on dry out and right out make the most sense, since the left out will always be plugged in in mono, stereo, WD, or WDW. I have to keep telling myself this will be worth the hassle! Cheers and thanks for the helpful review.

The Undefacer has a Phase Correction and Ground Life buttons on it that takes care of these issues! Just so you know, it took FOREVER for me to understand WDW. Idk why, but it bested me for a while. Once I cracked the code, it changed everything. So take your time, watch tons of videos, and once you unlock the magic, you'll never go back!

@@Gibsunday I see how the Underfacer TX works to correct one of the three outputs for a WDW setup, but do you have another device to be able to flip phase or lift ground on the second of three outputs? Seems like you would need to do this for the Right wet channel and the Dry channel, while the left channel out just needs a buffer.

@@modemlaugh To my knowledge, this takes care of that so that you don't need one or two more pedals, but you should definitely ask Goodwood to be safe. Those guys are SUPER helpful and can def answer that for you!
