Practice in a speed you can play it perfectly and slowly increase the speed. (With a metronome it would be ideal, but drum loops are great as well)

One of the most interesting songs i found from early Angra was Never Understand, the percusion, the melody, and the chord progressions. Absolutely beautiful. However, i've found that there are few or less "official versions" of the song played by the band itself. Could you make a whole playthrough of the song? I think the intro has a bit of alternate picking? and the solos at the end were so good.

It's similar to that playing inside-outside with Jazz don't you think? Although in jazz is more like chromatic playing (like Chromazone by Mike Stern) but I sense the embelishment is like trying to give an 'off the scale' feeling to the melody. I dont master any scale at all, I only use this appoggiatura unconsciously I guess, cause I listened to Santana a lot back in my younger days, and I mostly play minor scale. Nice concept and sharing Kiko! Salute!

this technique is called "enclosure" in Jazz, and used A LOT especially in gypsy jazz. BTW, this is also how Marty Friedman usually approaches a target note, bending from a half-step below. He explained it 25 years ago in his Melodic Control DVD ;)

Hi Kiko, Really nice technics... I was wondering if there was any harmony concept or restriction behind appogiatures ?... I was thinking that those sensible notes right before your target notes was kid of a Major 7th that could be highlight with a 7th chord before your "resolution" to your target note ?... my jazz guitar improvisation teacher taught me that. In spanish he called it "aproximación" or "approaching". So approaching the arpeggio notes from below, above or a combination. The pink panther theme is a great example.
