Thank you. Glad you enjoyed the video. Do you use poultry netting?

Yes. But we are doing a pasture that will be more of a permanent space, but I use electric fencing for pretty much all of our livestock, goats and pigs.

Yes if you're getting the meat birds, definitely get you this poultry fence. When have seen dogs and our cat try to get near the fence and sent the animals running. This is a 164' fence. The solarizer we purchased was the S10. However, I'm liking the S12 better. Cost, I will have to check their website for the cost for both the netting and solarizer. In our link tree on bio is their website link, check it out for prices because those keep changing on EVERYTHING lately 🤦🏿♂️

I saw an idea the other day to disconnect the bottom wire of these fences which stops the grass from grounding it out. Just sharing an idea.
@TheNakidGardeners2 жыл бұрын
Interesting. I'm not too familiar with these fences. How would you disconnect it? That would be great and better than mowing or weed eating around it ever time we move the chickens.

A nice look at the Gallagher S12 poultry netting and solar energizers. Will definitely look into it more.
@TheNakidGardeners2 жыл бұрын
This poultry netting and the solarizer would allow your chickens to be out in the opening and keep the land predators away. You don't have to get the 164' one. There is a 84' one that could wrap around your coop easily.

Curious as to how the S12 charger is actually working with the electric netting as even Gallagher’s website has a notice on the listing stating that it should not be used with poultry or sheep netting.🤔
@TheNakidGardeners2 жыл бұрын
We asked the rep and he recommended that this would have a good charger and compatible for the poultry fencing. 🤷🏾♂️ As you can see in the video it holds a good charge when nothing is grounding the fence out.

New here, saw you with the Fit farmer family. So why the name The Nakid Gardeners? Was there a reason behind it besides gardening with your willy out lol?? I'm literally moving to my land in five days. Those electric fences look like the way to go.
@TheNakidGardeners2 жыл бұрын
Mike explained it in the video. Basically we garden and tend to our land organically. No synthetic fertilizers. Congratulations on moving to your land. How many acres and where are you getting the land? We try to protect our animals as much as possible with the Gallagher Fencing. Great warranty and customer service.

After a few months of use, are you still satisfied with the S12? Is the S12 really enough for a 164 foot fence?
@TheNakidGardeners Жыл бұрын
YES! For poultry in our area it has been very essential. We have not lost an animal due to land predator with this netting nor S12. We enjoyed it so much we purchase about 2 more from Gallagher. What are you using your fencing for?
@francoisedurocher2671 Жыл бұрын
@@TheNakidGardeners Merci beaucoup. It will be for the broilers and for my garden ( fox,racoon,marmot,shunk) . I'm ready to make my purchase except that Gallagher they suggest the S40 (double price!!!)for the 164ft chicken fence. That's why I wanted your opinion before buying.
@TheNakidGardeners Жыл бұрын
@@francoisedurocher2671 Oh if it is just for your garden the S12 will do just fine. If you were doing large livestock then I would suggest going with a bigger solarizer
