Fun facts: - Coldplay formed in 1996. That's a year before Jungkook was even born! - Chris has revealed that it was actually World Wide Handsome Jin who initiated the entire Coldplay collaboration because he's a huge fan of them. Fortunately they totally hit it off and Chris even signed and gifted World Wide Handsome Jin his favorite guitar when they met the entire band later on. And yes, he actually calls him the whole entire nickname when he mentions him. 😂

How was it that jin initiated a collab? I’ve never heard anybody say that lol I’d like to check that out where they talked about that Edit:’nvm I found it but he said he couldn’t remember if it was V or jin who said something about them one day and someone in his team saw and let him know what was said….but none of them reached out to them actually asking to collab.. i remember v saying he would love to collab with Chris Martin and Coldplay.. didn’t even know jin was such a fan lol I know v has mentioned Chris being a role model for him for awhile now… but doesn’t matter I guess . Every time I see jin lately it makes me sad… his enlistment date is getting way too close… I’m not ready to lose him for like two years :/ they need him…‘and we need him … just wish they didn’t have to do this … it’s just not right without all 7 of them imo….that really sucks… but excited for the new music!!!! Gonna just enjoy all the moments with him and them as 7… just is so sad… but gotta try and stay positive and supportive. Okay I went on a rant and had nothing to do with what you said lol don’t mind me

It's a real place; When Coldplay did their live he had the hologram of BTS with him on stage, and when BTS did an LA performance, Christ came up out of the floor to perform with them. Chris actually sings JK part on stage in Korean. BTS sold out Wembly Stadium in UK in 90 minutes over 90000 people 2 performances. The ARMY sang to BTS... it was a surprise from their staff. "Forever we are Young" song by BTS. They all cried and listened... such a moving experience.

I think they got together in New York and sang it together also, but I don't believe that was at a show. That was when Chris gave Jin a signed guitar as a gift! Jin was so tickled and said he would hang it on his wall. They were just showing Chris their "new" (now mega hit) song, Butter. he wasn't involved in it at all. Great reaction. Namjoon 'RM' once shared on a live he hosted that when BTS make a new track, they all record the song sometimes more than 20 times then they sit and choose which part suits which member, which voice suits the lyrics better without forgetting about the choreography (if the song has a choreo), they need to let each member has his moment (being in the center) ... so there are so many factors to consider when making an album/song , that's why you'll notice that sometimes a member doesn't have "enough" lines in a song. For example, in "Spring Day", one of their BEST songs, J-hope doesn't have lines in the studio version however, during live performances, he's the one starting the song.

Yes...the place where Chris Martin was was real....he filmed in Spain. BTS filmed in Korea and the use of holograms was kind of genius. They were together in Korea for the making of the song, but not the video. I really loved the documentary. I love seeing artists with such mutual respect for each other. Yes he brought them gifts and when they visited him in the US they brought all of Coldplay modern Hanboks (traditional Korean garb, but modern). Chris also gave Jin a guitar because he has been learning for the last couple of years. He said he treasured it so much that he had to hang it on a wall and he could never play it. I didn't know Coldplay much before this either...of course I knew their most popular songs but that's it. After this collab I did some research and watched a couple of documentaries about Chris and Coldplay and I really love the person he is. No...he had no connection to Butter. They talk about their desire to sing the song all together and they did get to do it at the LA concert. I'm glad this helped your state of mind....I've watched it several times and it does the same for me. Enjoyed your reaction...thank you.

Fun Fact - BTS and Coldplay have had a few chances to play together since the song came out. BTS' first performance of this song with Coldplay, was their very first performance back since the pandemic, and it was in Los Angeles, CA on November 21, 2021, at the American Music Awards. They played My Universe, the second song of the night, and it was a really fun and awesome performance. Then BTS took home 3 Awards, Favorite Pop song for BUTTER, Favorite Pop Group, and Artist of the Year. Then they closed the show by performing BUTTER. It was a great performance. I think that was their very first performance of BUTTER live in front of people also. They performed Butter many times before, but that was the first with a live audience in front of them. Then they played a four day, sold out, Stadium concert in Inglewood, CA, at SoFi Stadium, and Day 4, Coldplay showed up and they performed it at the close of the show, during ARMY Time. Best performance of My Universe so far. I was there that night, and had floor seats. AMAZING EXPERIENCE., If you ever get the chance to go to a BTS concert, I highly recommend it.

@taequilasilver71832 жыл бұрын
Before the collaboration came out I was hopeful that they would collaborate, I cried when they announced that they would collaborate with Coldplay and i really appreciated the song for a reason. The boys sang Fix You in 2020 and a German radio host made racist comments because he didn't like them covering the song. He compared BTS to c0vid 19 and suggested BTS will be vacationing in North Korea for the next 20 years. “I have nothing against South Korea, you can’t accuse me of xenophobia only because this boy band is from South Korea. I have a car from South Korea. I have the coolest car around,” he said. The car was actually from Japan .............. he used the card similar to "I have a black friend" I think Chris Martin found out about these comments and that's why he decided to collaborate with them even more. I can't imagine the face of the radio host when he found out that BTS and Coldplay made a collaboration hahahahaha

from the hardship vid remember the guy who compared them with covid? yeah unfortunately a lot of loud racist individuals surfaced after bts did a cover of coldplay's Fix You, so loud to the point when other celebrities who are friends with bts started making statements that racism is unacceptable and "humor" shouldn't be a justification for racism. but! In the end all that situation eventually led us to a full collaboration with the song My Unverse! from a Weverse article (Weverse is a media source & platform launched by BigHit): "BTS’s latest collab “My Universe,” was made through a kind of understanding between the group and Coldplay. The collab itself had been under consideration much earlier, but Coldplay’s name came up when a German DJ made racist remarks about BTS in early 2021 while preparations were being made. Both BTS and Coldplay clearly opposed the idea of racism. Consequently, this social awareness found its way into the final product when it was eventually released, making the collaboration about more than just the song itself." the lines from the song are "they said we can't be together because we come from different sides"

I tried to search the comments to see if anyone touched on you pointing out about who sings what part of what song but I didn’t see it. So I’ll just say what I know. The rappers of course write their own verses and those are a given. But it is said that most of the time Jungkook sings the first initial guide version to give to the members as reference. Then, they told us that they have each member sing the guide from beginning to end and that’s how they decide who sounds better on what part and who fits where.

Chris didn't help produce 'Butter'. That song was released May 2021, and Chris was in Korea for 'My Universe' in April 2021. I think BTS was giving Chris a sneak-peek at the song since they were just weeks away from releasing it....My respect for Chris/Coldplay has risen immensely from this project. He's sung JK's part IN KOREAN at Coldplay concerts; Chris and Will (Coldplay drummer) defended BTS at a German talk show when the host downplayed BTS' contribution to music, telling the host that BTS has made practically as many albums as Coldplay has; and Chris graciously performed My Universe with BTS the last night of BTS' L.A. concerts this year.

If you would have told me in 2019 that in 2021 BTS would have helped me in my life, I would have cursed you out in all the languages I knew. I say 2019, because I love in London and I clearly remember standing in Piccadilly circus and the big screen had them on it, advertising for the Wembley concert and I had nothing but denial as to what was the fuss for a freaking boyband. I then accidentally heard them in 2020 with ON and the performance in Grand Central station and just that performance, I couldn't stop watching. So then I begin to listen to songs from MOTS7 and then 2021 arrived, worse than 2020 for me, and out of nowhere BTS was there to help me not sink. So if I am HAPPILY and CALMLY wirting this comment today is thanks to them. So when they first covered Fix You and when this collab happened (mind you Til Kingdom Come (by Coldplay) is still going to be my wedding song if I ever get married) I just was cheesing for the whole time. And this documentary really really really brings a big smile on my face, it has all that I stand for and all that I hope for as well. Sorry for the longest comment ever! Anyways you have a new sub and yes, enjoy your journey with BTS. They say BTS finds you when you need it the most, it was true for me, and who knows, maybe also for you (if you are ARMY welcome as well, if not it's all good and all love all the same!). 💜.

The world for the Coldplay band is apparently in Spain or Portugal. And it is an actual location.

*a bunch of exclamation points* Okay now for actual comment lol I'll update it as I watch. I just wanted to first let you know the orange text on pink background is very difficult (for at least me) to read. Very pretty but since theyre very similar colors without contrast it takes me a second to be able to decipher it. Omg I was the same! I was such a snob about some stuff jeez I'm so grateful I grew up earlier than some people I know even now. You're mood this video has been wonderful and funny. I'm glad this helped!! I recommended this to another reactor who was having a hard time and it helped so.... now to the next vid!

I want to say that i do rejected to understand bts when i was in junior high school where all girls goes crazy for Korean groups which made me a bad screen for any Korean pop artists. Just like your first impression with Coldplay. Sometimes we do have rejection mentality toward something we don't understand but people go crazy for, like some very popular songs, but once we get deeper to see how all this happened, we found it's an amazing journey to get to know all things we never know and to be touched by it. So i want to say it's no big deal to not being open-hearted sometimes, just remember not to judge everything before we know them better. That's how I feel. And I really like and love bts now, they are precious human beings hahahahaha!

22:22 lol I’ve noticed that you almost always comment on how nice Jungkooks voice is lol even if you didn’t know which member they were… I’ve noticed that bc Jungkooks voice is what drew me into BTS originally lol after that crazy bridge he does in “on kinetic manifesto” with those high notes in full voice … I’ve been totally in ever since. I love all the different voices and styles of singing… but jungkook has a voice I could listen to all day everyday lol his love vocals are honestly always better than the track… I don’t know what it is.. but his control, his techniques and the way he adds vocal colors and textures depending on the songs style…. Just my favorite although I love them all. He is known for being the king of ad libs and harmonies bc he’s always harmonizing with the vocalists but my favorite is when he harmonizes with the rappers…. And his ad libs are chefs kiss… you don’t get to be the main vocalist of such a strong group even though you’re the baby without keeping up with it for all these years… he loves to sing. That harmony you replayed was jungkook and jimin and they’re the main vocalist which is Jk which is the highest position in the group and then jimin is the lead vocalist which he’s the next best vocalist overall. The cool thing is that all 4 vocalists are top tier…. So no matter who is singing … they’re going to be exceptional… each having their own specialty and very distinct differences in their tone and style….

No the song Butter was done by BTS, Chris Martin (Coldplay) was not involved in the process

I think they just gave him a preview of butter before it was released to the public. He didn't help them with it.

Sir ...reacts to Jungkook's cover of Falling by Harry Styles too...thanks ❤️
Every time I see The silencers it definitely looks like a coronavirus image to me. 😂 Well.. Covid stopped activities for everyone. Musicians too can’t tour or do concerts. Am I overthinking? Haha! Anyways, it still looks like the virus 🦠 to me 🤣

You can easily see how humble koreans are in the documentary. I'm not a fan of BTS but they're literally one of the biggest music acts in the world. And they still stay humble. Koreans has this mindset it's really hard to see in america
