Pyro sounds surprised that people would travel across Australia to come to PAX. Its pretty normal since PAX is the only big game convention we get here in Aus. Its like one of the best conventions you can go to really, its the closest thing we have to midnight releases in terms of community and vibes these days. However there are other more comic based conventions that go to the other state capitals (except canberra because no joy is allowed here) but they don't go as hard as PAX. We'd do 16 hours of driving total to get there and back every year. Unfortunately can't afford the accommodation anymore 😩
