Started watching Ashville in 2020 when my middle son was born, and would be watching it in the evening whilst I gave bottle to settle him. Now he is 4 and he watches it with me, whilst I now feed my daughter who has just turned 1. This is a constant and inspirational to the next generation on how nothing is easygoing and you have to put in the hardwork. Now my oldest son wants to start watching this from the beginning as he was 9, when we started and now he is 13. He is looking to his future and talking about wanting to run his own business, and you have enabled to give him a insight, with a amazing team behind you. Keep on going and being the next generation’s inspiration.

But the one thing that has always remained consistent is your determination to work your way through it and find the solution. They have soft start relays which stop the motors kicking in at full power. So if they have a lot of resistence the soft starter trips before it can turn. Everytime it happened we had to get a company in at 2.5k a time to sack it out and bag it up.

The Cement Silo is a absolute critical part of your operation but also a single point of failure. It would make sense to have a second one installed in the long run. It also looks verrs often like you are running out of cement verry close to having waiting time and got new delivery verry close to running empty. A second silo would not only eliminate a single point of failure but also enlarge the storrage capacity and give you more buffer to work with. It would also give a chance to load cement to your lories but take delivery of new cement at the same time. With more Storrage you also have toe chance to service other companies or take additional cement lories. But i am wondering. Is it not possible to bring in cement on a Rail waggons and park one or 2 at the end of your railway close to the buffers? You could blow in your silo for yourself, have larger storrage in house (in the waggons) use your rail system at least partialy on a dalie base and not have it sitting empty.
@Chissler2 ай бұрын
I work with loads of similar equipment to the silo you use. If in the future you are doing any kind of retrofit's to the silo, and if its at all possible, I would advise to add some kind of valve over the top of the screw. So if you get a similar error later, you will be able to close the valve, and be able to pull out the screw in its entirety if you need to maintenance without emptying the silo. It decreases the risk of burning out the motor on the screw as well if you get some stoppages.

Bloody hell Daniel, you need an industrial electrician on site. A few simple tests would have found the fault on the cement silo instead of guessing and swapping parts until you've eliminated the fault. A good man would also be able to check the overload settings and the load on each motor to see if there's a mechanical problem causing a motor to overload. You might need to clean the augers out, or there might be a worn shaft or collapsed bearing. If I wasn't such an old fart I'd volunteer my services.

As someone who has been in the sign trade for 35 years what base material are you asking for? If as I would assume you are using composite (Dibond) you can get sheets 3m x2m ( Amari Plastics & Blackburns metals will supply) Is it the sign company you use can only print 1500mm wide onto vinyl which is then laminated? in which case you have 2 choices 1 have the sign in 2 sections 1500mm x 2000mm or 2 you need to use a company that will print direct to the substrate on a flatbed printer, that way it’s one piece 3m x 2m. Hope this helps

@Leaving_Orbit2 ай бұрын
@@Stefan_Kawalec I guess it’s a matter of perspective. It seemed to me Daniel followed the advice he was given . The primary fault was severe and was most definitely causing damage long before the failure, which led to the cascade of component damage. Daniel should definitely contract with a good company to manage PPM services in the future as the cost of this breakdown would justify it. (ie City Facilities Management)
@Stefan_Kawalec2 ай бұрын
@@Leaving_OrbitMr Louisy seems to be very agile in taking care of PPM. Whenever it's possible they do it in-house, whenever it's not - they outsource it. I think the biggest problem is his micromanaging. He should finally realize his companies are way too big for him to supervise everything personally. They need more procedures for situations like this. Cement silo is crucial infrastructure for them, so a multi-step maintenance and problem-solving procedure should be created. And it should not include Mr Louisy's personal involvement.There are people who get paid to make his companies run.
@BJHolloway12 ай бұрын
Daniel all problems require a systematic approach to reach a successful resolution, otherwise you chase your tail around and only eventually solve the problem after much stress. Wonderful to watch and learn. Question: When I was taught how to secure a rubber tracked machine to a low loader or bed , never put straps or chains over the tracks. ALWAYS position them under the tracks and over the carriage steels. Which is correct?
