Taking on Alton Towers first ever 10K run

Run Alton Towers is a new event which offers 5K, 10K and Half Marathon options. I took part in the 10K, which takes you on a strange and magical journey though the theme park. This video tries to also give a bit of the history of Alton Towers and some of the rides, including Nemesis, Oblivion, Duel, Hex, Wicker Man, Rita, Runaway Train, Cbeebies Land and Spinball Whizzer.

Loved this video Harry. I was one of the 2000 others taking part with you on what was my first ever 10km race. Nowhere near your time at 1.08.00 but wasn't too disheartened as this was my first day allowed out of a 3 week isolation with covid lol. Cheers for the vid, some great memories.

The porta loo to competitor ratio seemed about right, looks like a well handled event! 😂 I sometimes struggle to film when I am hiking, let along running a flipping 10k, looked like a fantastic route though. I think this video has gotten the most laughs from me so far, favorite comedic moment was the .... "Why Am I Backwards???" 😂

Me and a friend did this run, it was exactly as you described it, mental but mint. Really stiff hills! You forget when you walk them but running them and zigzaging and hairpinning corners with them in the park they murder your legs. That day i did it, the run got the best of me but loved it all the same.

Very entertaining Harry. Your narration in this video was top notch, it had me laughing out loud in my sitting room whilst I listened on headphones, as the rest of the family are watching Call the mid wife of TV 😂 Looked like a very similar event to the one that used to take place at Chessington World of Adventures. That year no, it was incredible, we got on everything multiple times Kellie - never experienced anything quite like it. I can't say the same for this year, from a business point of view it wouldn't make sense to keep doing that, from the park's perspective.
