For the clothing on the top shelf of the closet for your husband, you could take boxes think of like a diaper box and stick it long ways up so that it creates dividers and then you can place the folded shirts stacked on top of each other so that way he can see what he has and then you can lift up and put the clean folded laundry underneath so he’s always pulling from the top. I did that with a few diaper boxes across the top of my closet and it leavesdividers from sweaters sweatshirts sweatpants from the falling over but being nicely stacked up just a suggestion thank you for your inspiration

I put a rod and curtain in place of my closet doors. Makes life so much easier and it softens the room, I love it.

You mentioned Clutterbug's comment to put organizers where you naturally pile. You have a pile on the desk right now. If it was in a basket on the desk, it would still be just as accessible, but one step hidden than where you are right now. Also, a clear container versus an opaque container would have one more layer of visibility differential. Putting the basket under the work surface of the desk with the large white cubby would be one slight step less accessible but more hidden. There is a gradient to visibility and accessibility. Having easy solutions that would allow you and your husband to toss for it to be put away and be hidden enough for your sanity while visible enough for it not to be forgotten, won't be easy, but trying is always better than nothing. Her point generally is to have a system. Because, we aren't ideal humans. Having an intentional intermediate landing place allows you more flexibility rather than assuming you will perfectly file every time. But what I love is you are tacking the hard stuff in the video. You are processing things now for now. ❤

The decluttering 'mess' left behind for next day(s) is why I love Dana K. White's No Mess Decluttering approach. Helps. Otherwise, the leftover piles make each effort so much more difficult.

She left them out because they were going into the wardrobe. And it needed decluttering and tidying up. So, instead of piling in on top of something in the closet last video to take it out today, she left it out. Great solution for this preticular situation.😊

Maybe for next to your desk you could hang one of those organizers. They usually have 2 or 3 slots ( they look like magazine racks). You could put actionables in it.

My local library has a free shredding event every couple of months. If I have a lot, like at tax time, I save it up and drive through. Otherwise it’s not a big deal since I retired and don’t have work stuff to shred.

Oh everything looks so nice and i was just thinking i like your bed where it is but after the other comments im thinking your office area would look nice where the bed is now. Your office and make-up area could be all together. Youd also have more space to walk around the bed. But either way it looks good and youve done a great job decluttering! I love your videos and you and your precious family!

One reason I have the bed there is there are no heat registers which dry me out when I am sleeping if the bed is near them. 🙃

Can you look into having your closet doors hung with hinges so that they both open like regular doors. It you’ll make things soooo much easier to see and be orderly inside the closet?

@jackieshepherd5193 she mentioned it in the video that she like them to not open into the room. She would rather have a more narrow opening in the closet and space in front of the closet. If she does put hinges on, she has to move her reading chair.

Hey Karen! I love a good declutter and organize, especially when it helps with day to day tasks. Very satisfying to watch you go through the steps. I’ve been working on my bedroom nearly every day, even if it is for 5-10 minutes, for many months now. I keep my office in my bedroom also and I have so many projects and responsibilities that I am trying to complete. In the meantime, there is so much paper involved and I’m trying to streamline it all and have less visual clutter. I am working on creating a relaxing, clutter less bedroom. 🫧💕🫧
