This Morning have given this scandal more coverage than they did their own last year. Funny that.

Yeah I agree with you , this morning , loose women have featured it sometimes after some speculation has appeared in the press whatever occurred should be investigated and the appropriate action taken but as a fan and viewer of strictly since it started in 2004 it saddens me that it’s 20th series is being / could be overshadowed by this controversy rather than celebrated. Also it should be remembered that the majority of the celebrities that have taken part have enjoyed and embraced taking part in the show + the rest of the pro dancers should not be vilified in any way because two are been investigated. As the investigation is still on going I feel two many people are voicing an opinion at this time heightening the concern/ speculation of what has happened.

Strictly is the biggest show on TV and is not centred around one person.

@@HassaanNet This Morning is still a big TV brand that has been around a long time. It was strange for them to say nothing about what was going on for weeks even while doing newspaper reviews where they were on the front pages. All of the ITV morning shows heavily revolve around showbiz stories, and that was the biggest story in showbiz at the time. This, by comparison, is being milked despite there not being much to say while the investigation is ongoing.

Just because you are an expert in your field, it definitely does not follow on that you can communicate well enough to teach another person, and bring out the best in them. Think back to Covid when parents faced the realities of home schooling their children, and found out their relationship with their children suffered: for example the journalist who admitted that on Day 1 she had a stand up row with her 7 YO about how to write the letter 'S' correctly! Dancing has a light and frothy reputation but at the top levels it's brutal. If you add to it the competition factor which could boost the pros. profile status, opportunities and earnings outside of the show, that it is one hefty reason to push hard to secure that coveted first place.

I'm born in the same year as him. yes, the 80s di have a mass of great and interesting music, especially with regard to the 70s crossover into the new decade, and up until the mid 80s, but ppl shoudln't get foole that it was all great, as there was also large amount of awful music, including from some of the so called singers that will be in his show. Caroll Decker of T'pau though were a fantastic band, with great hits.

1st time I've heard child abuse and child violence called tough love? No wonder this guy is f*&ked up and dancers are okay with bullying. I feel for the abused kids they were , but disgusted by hearing how they now abuse contestants, sad.

I'm same age as him, so he would have been 14 when he was getting taught, and at that age, I regularily got the slipper at school for being a bit naughty, but we laughed at the teachers when they did it. It was the sign of the times, and as he said, it wouldn't be allowed now, but I suppose he was driven to be a good dancer so he feels the odd hit on his legs to get his position correct, didn't do him any harm, as it wouldn't be constant I'm sure and he would have said if he thought it was abuse, as he probably thought it was being constructive, but of course it doesn't feel right, and I should never have been belted round the face by the head of French at that age too, but I think the worst abuse is psychological. But I also think like you, what some of these so called teachers in this day and age treating the Celebs, the way that they have been accused of is disgusting, but the inquiry is taking a bit too long really.
