As someone who travels a lot, one of the best things I purchased, was a fold up luggage stand like they have in hotels. No more having my luggage on the ground here bending over.

Ohhh that feels so fancy! Very smart and handy to have at home!

Thanks for the video. So, do you check your bag? I traveled again for work and toiletries and the quart size bag were stressful. Also, for travel day, where do you keep your wallet and DL stuff?

I rarely ever check my bag! I have TSA precheck and the cosmetics case I showed in the video has always worked well. It's been on 10+ domestic trips with me at this point, and I've never been asked to remove it from my bag and transfer the items to a different bag. Internationally they are a bit more stringent, and even then, I only remove liquids and gels which are a small portion of my total toiletries. Good questions about the wallet - I realized I forgot to show several of those "everyday" items that I don't typically pack for until the morning of the trip, so I typically I slip my wallet into that inside, top, small pocket with my masks (along with my phone, too!)

Has the bigger carry-on ever been denied for its size during any of your international travels? Thanks
@MaggiesTwoCents2 жыл бұрын
I recommend doing research ahead of your trip to understand the specific planes you'll be flying on. The size of the plane will be the ultimate determinant. For example, flying from London to Croatia, I had no issues with the bigger carry on, because the plane was large and they allowed overhead luggage. From Croatia to Greece, everyone had to check their rolling luggage, regardless of size. Doing the research ahead of time will also help you save money, because paying your checked baggage fees early is cheaper!

How do you fit all your liquids into the quart size bag for carryon travel?
@MaggiesTwoCents2 жыл бұрын
I have TSA precheck and have never been asked to remove my liquids from my bag, so the small clear bag I featured in this video is all I use for toiletries! International travel is a different story, but domestically - that bag works great!

If you fold down the top of your makeup brush holder it stands up and open

I’ve missed these videos. They’re always my favorite! Did you put a thin wallet in the front pocket of your backpack? And where did your cords fit for your phone, laptop, etc.?

I realized I forgot to show several of those "everyday" items that I don't typically pack for until the morning of the trip, so I typically put the cords (that I have a little elastic organizer for) in my backpack in the large, main pocket, and I slip my wallet into that inside, top, small pocket with my masks!

I'm always amazed at how much people can get into those double sided suitcases. Great packing video. Maggie you must have TSA PreCheck, cuz there's no way all of your toiletries would fit in a quart size bag. Those magnetic containers alone would take up most of the room. That's a great thing about TSA Precheck, it's been my experience, they don't care so much about the quantity of toiletries as long as everything is travel-sized. In fact most people I know with PreCheck, don't even bother using quart-size bags anymore. They pack in their regular toiletry bags.

I do have TSA precheck, and the clear cosmetics case has always worked well for me domestically! Internationally, they're a bit more stringent, but I still don't travel with enough liquid/gel products for it to be an issue if I do have to use a quart sized bag overseas.

What travel bag do you usually use? have you tried a duffle bag? I recommend Nomad Lane's bento bag. It is such a quality bag!

I am going to Hawaii in a few weeks and I only want to take a carry-on. The planes carry on requirements are 22x14x9…which carry on do you suggest?
@MaggiesTwoCents2 жыл бұрын
I'd look up the dimensions on the AWAY luggage website so that you can be totally sure. I used my medium suitcase and checked it for our trip to Hawaii last summer, but the bigger carry-on fits in *most* overhead bins on domestic flights. The only exceptions I've run into in the US are on the super small planes like American Eagle or something similar, and I highly doubt your flight to Hawaii will be on such a small aircraft!

Maggie - you should try the Klorane dry shampoo. Billions times better than the perfect hair day one in my opinion!

I tried that dry shampoo years ago when it came in an Ipsy or FabFitFun, and I think I remember liking it! Thanks for the reminder-it’s been forever since I’ve thought about that one!
