I just love this. And I love the limited colour palette. As someone who usually is a "more is more" painter, I am really finding in FYJ that less is way more! 🙂

Since taking Karen Stamper's Free up Your Sketchbook and Grow course I love concertina books. I even had a section of an exhibtion devoted to people who finished off books I"d made and started off with mark making and collage a couple of years ago. As for gesso over charoal! I really love scraping clear gesso over charcoal or ArtGraf Viarco block marks and drawings. while it's wet you can rub into it, wipe it back with wet fingers or a rag. I'm headed to the studio - NOW!

Love it! Thanks Louise, love your exuberance. I have used old paintings in the past, cut them up and created a concertina book. It’s a great way to start as there are nice marks and colour that jolt the imagination. I then make the cover from fabric I have eco printed and dyed. Books are fun!!❤

Hi Louise. The prints you add for the walls ladder etc is that photocopied? Just thinking ink jet printer wouldn’t work as well as it will smudge?
@ThisPaintingLifeАй бұрын
laser jet printed

Ink jet works ok as long as you leave it to dry thoroughly before transfer

Love your work, Louise. Can I use gesso with oil paint to create texture? Usually, it's oil on top of acrylic?

This "class" is not a class at all. You are asked to sign up, say a few things about yourself, watch a promo video and then it's over. No instuction at all, no demo.

Louise didn't say it was a class. The title very clearly said 'demo'.
