Their full album is always consisted of several genres. It is quite diverse, they are actually really good, and surprisingly catchy. Coming from SM who loves experimental music, SJ discography is actually one of my favourites from them.

Super Junior is the older brother to Shinee and I mean literally. Just as they are the brother group to Girls' Generation/Snsd. What Kpop is known for today is all because of Super Junior hardwork. First idols to branch off into all areas of entertainment. They are the reason idols frequent variety shows and are actors. First to have subunit (6 in total each covering a different music genre), first to have foreign members. First to win international awards, first to have 100 concerts, first to have large group (15 at it's peak). First to have their own shows and their own label. The only one to conquer #1 on music charts for over 2 years. And only one to ever be banned from music award because they were winning too much. First, to bring K-pop to the international world. They are the King of the Korean Wave. Their song Sorry Sorry was the golden key and swept the world back in 2009. Just about everyone and their grandmother has covered this song. First to enter Billboard Latin charts. And there are many more firsts under their belt. I highly recommend their docuseries The Last Man Standing.

Really yes, SJ has explored so many genres and has innovated so much that many times they have been inspiration or the beginning for the industry to aim for new styles. We have contrasts from Don Don't and at the other end "Lo Siento" or another example is "Black Suit" and then 2YA2YAO, really, those men are gems of talent. My recommendations as I mentioned before: Blacksuit Mamacita original mv and drama ver. Lo Siento ft Leslie Grace Don Don't 2YA2YAO SS9 in Seoul (SPY, ROKKUGO and MAMACITA) Musical version (this is a plus xd just to see a little bit of SJ's vocal ability)

They're definitely versitile and broad! They definitely have a 'sound' that they return to, but they've done pop, r&b, balads, latin, trot, bubblegum pop, electropop etc. They've released songs in Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish. They're also very well know on the variety show scene, having had several of there own variety shows, and appearing as guests and hosts of popular shows. They've certainly tried a little bit of everything...

That's why when I went into kpop during pandemic, I started with other groups but stopped with Suju and became their fans because they have a variety of songs suitable for every situation and mood. Mind you they have 500 group songs and more than 800 songs if you add solo and sub unit songs and ost.

The musical style of super junior is the old style of kpop. But they also pretty often experiment in songs, let's just say don't don, house party, spy. I chase them because their sound is right to my ears. Sure, their music is old-school style, but they're very colorful. Fit to everybody who looking for casual stan.

Super Junior is a very versatile group with a long trajectory, they are one of those few groups that are not afraid to try different genres... They started the Hallyu wave (Korean Wave) the members are very versatile too, you can see them all in everywhere, while some are actors, others are MCs of programs, variety shows, musicals, producers, directors, etc... They are like Barbie, they can be whatever they want to be lol It would be great if you reacted to "Lo Siento" and "One More Time", both songs are collaborations with Spanish-speaking artists, and they combine Korean, Spanish and English in those songs, they are incredible.

Even beyond musicality, their group is basically just experimental. They're supposed to be like NCT, or AKB tbh, whose members would grow over time. However 12 people is really a lot back then for a group, when they added Kyuhyun fans started to complain so they stopped and added Henry and Zhoumi to SJ M instead. When they first debuted, admittedly not all of them can sing/dance/rap well because each of them is chosen based on what makes them sell and that includes visual and personality. SM wants a true all-rounder group, so even if you don't like their music, some members would thrive in variety show and movies, thus still bringing the group name to the public.

Yes, Super Junior and SHINee are both broad-ability groups. They each have their own color and flavor though. Super Junior's my top Kpop group, but SHINee is also one of my faves and it's due to the fact they can pretty much do it all. I would say as an overall group, SHINee are better dancers while Super Junior are better performers in my opinion.

I was just recommended this video as an ELF and I'm happy! Super Junior debuted as Super Junior '05 because the original concept was that people were going to graduate and keep adding members and these were going to be the 2005 members but fans loved them so much and protested so much that fans peer pressured SM into making them a permanent group so the 05 was dropped. Kyuhyun joined a tiny bit later than the rest and in the beginning they were 13 members (plus 2 others for the Super Junior M Chinese subgroup) but there's 9 members left. If you want to believe that vampires might be real you can look up each members ages as well because these men don't age. :)
