Your 3 tip exhaust. The two outside pipes or your standard dual exhaust your middle pipe is a bypass pipe before the converter. Almost like how Evans old Beamer was set up with the bypass under the passenger floorboard

mishimoto intake and catch can are great pick ups. Id recommend the Ktuner/ecu unlock with the ktuned downpipe/frontpipe

Hey Dustin, I work at Honda in Canada and wanted to let you know Honda is making an OEM Carbon fiber interior and exterior (dash pieces to real carbon and wing) accessory package that's coming out later this year, also the hood vent is for cooling the steering rack. can't wait to see the build ✌🏼 EDIT, sorry I was wrong its out right now.

My understanding is that the wheel spec was directly tied to minimizing/eliminating torque steer. If you change wheels I would be very interested to see if you see more torque steer.

Use the Two bucket method and use a microfiber sponge when cleaning your car. That will enlarge the life spam of your paint. Washing it with one bucket and a sponge, you’re just creating a lot of scratches in the paint.

Great choice on buying the type R. I am also considering getting one. Yeah its not awd but I feel like the type r has more stuff than a base sti like push start button,better mpg, LEDS, hatch of course, and most importantly reliability. I know hondas dont have the best rep because of owners but hell how often you see a broken one?rarely... congrats on your car

They chose 20 inch wheels for a larger contact patch cross section and steering response. You can go with wider wheels for more lateral grip and stiffness, but a taller wheel will physically increase the overall contact patch with the road.

Due to the new exhaust law are you sticking to stock? Also as for intake I suggest wait for a cai that’s CARB certified or a drop in K&N or dry AEM replacement panel filter.

Dustin if you read this, talk to the dealership about addressing the 2gear synchro crunch grind and the 5th to 4th gear down shift lock out. FlyingGato has a channel that shows how he had it fixed by the dealer.

About gearbox issues. If your gearbox fluid will overheat from exhaust u will start having issues. Here in Poland people after 30k mileage have to rebuild gearbox. You should get more info about that, people day separating gearbox with heatshield from exhaust helps. Do it before its 2 late, because if it will start making weird noises that means u have metal shavings inside :/

Don’t get the injen air intake. It heat soaks like crazy. I had one and switched to the Mishimoto to keep the IAT’s low. Go with Mishimoto, aFe or Eventuri.

PRL Motorsport is the way to go for the intake and inter cooler. I have a 2018 civic si and PRL most definitely gives me the most performance out of the others for all new civics including type r

Just get springs. There's not many Coilovers that will work with the damping system that the type r have. I recommend PRL Motorsport for upgrades. The fastest 9the Gen civic and 10the Gen civic are using PRL products.

I would not swap the coils. The stock ones are adaptive and very versatile. My guess: coils wont make it better. Thrilled for all your optic and performance mods though. Hope the wheels will close the gap of the stock body width :D Also stoked to see a nicer exhaust

Why add coil overs when you have an adjustment suspension already? IMO just get lowering springs to keep the performance of the dialed in factory suspension.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I heard somewhere that the center exhaust tip was for sound improvement making the car have less of the “ricey and raspy” sound. It makes sense to me, I run extended resonators and a muffler on my B18 turbo build to give it a deeper sound. There’s a side of me that hates the stereotypical “ricer” exhaust sound

Ryder21 Yes it’s a EK Hatch. It’s black and it’s the love of my life. I’ve done my best to keep it clean and simple. It’s essentially a EK9 now, except it’s a 98 so its preface lift
