Hi Kate and Alex. I grew up in California in the 70s, so remember when Bubblicious was launched in 1977 and Hubba Bubba in 1979. And before that Sugarloaf soft bubble gum - which had so much sugar in it, the granules of sugar would crunch as you chewed it. To me, it always felt like these were an answer to Bazooka Joe bubble gum, and the crappy gum that came with Topp's baseball cards -- both of which were hard as rock and took a long time to soften in your mouth.

You will have to come the west coast of Canada. Vancouver and Vancouver Island are amazing and we have our own foods that are different from other parts too.

We run a small B&B here on PEI (Green Gay Bulls B&B - a play on Green Gables) and our "International" guests usually say the same 2 things... The Island reminds them of Ireland..and they never want to leave. :)

I'm from Newfoundland Canada. We have a loot bag with treats and toys that are sent home with each kid at a party. However, the party usually has some playtime and snack time. In the snack time, we eat cake and other treats. We use the loot bag as a way of encouraging guests to leave because the kids can only get it on their way home.

Haha love that 😂so true though it's it. When the party bags come out you know it's time to go 😂

When you visit Canada next time drive along the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. I drove out there all the way from Toronto, Ontario, it is so beautiful east coast all the way to Kelowna, BC in the West coast❤

My favourite place in Canada 😍 LOVE Cape Breton Island!!

Your map actually showed where I live in Nova Scotia. You need to visit all the Atlantic provinces. They are beautiful all year long.

They look so beautiful, we would love to visit one day!

Love it, but as someone from away, it gets harder to find places to stay in some areas after Canadian Thankgiving. And some attractions are closed.
@brittanyrussell7274 жыл бұрын
I agree it’s beautiful but would not advise travelling to the east coast in the winter! The weather can be stormy and unpredictable and can impede air, land and sea travel 🧳

Prince Edward Island is a beautiful place. I've been there many years ago when I visited my Canadian friend in New Brunswick. I miss Canada and the great snacks.

The "Cuban Lunch" is a chocolate bar you should try! Ultra Canadian!
@mayloo21374 жыл бұрын
Calgary here. You can buy Cuban Lunch at local Safeways. You have to look for them because they are not put in the Candy section with other chocolate bars.

We 🇿🇦 get kit kats in many flavours, we have cappuccino, mint, peanut butter, lemon flavored, dark, white, and the newest one is salted caramel fudge I hate coffee and tea never had a cup of coffee in my life my brother tried to bribe me and spat it out! (I love the smell of coffee though) and coffee flavored butter biscuits. I absolutely love birthday cake oreos!
@ThisWithThem4 жыл бұрын
Oh awesome!! Haha, I'm surprised I liked that smell of the coffee as usually I find it way too strong. Haha brothers 😂

Love your outfits, very springtime and lovely! For Kate, I love coffee but need a sweeter in mine. For someone that isn’t a coffee fan I would definitely recommend the next time you have some adding a sweeter.

Yeah I recognized some of those chocolate bars from Dollarama. They don't sell them in other stores usually. Its surprising, sometimes, the quality candy and food you can sometimes find there.

King Cole tea MUST have milk and sugar for perfection :-) - as a child it was a staple. I introduced it to my very macho 7 year old grandson and he has to have his tea with Grandma, in his fancy tea pot. He's hooked, lol. King Cole is made in Sussex, New Brunswick at the Barbours plant . Barbours spices are amazing as well! Loved the video such fun to see you try things we have everyday.

Will have to do you up a little "Newfoundland" box of local goodies. Probably very similar to British confectioneries, but should be interesting. We are Newfoundland and Labrador. Canada's most eastern province, an island of British ancestry considering we only left Britain in 1949. I wonder how much in the "sweets" world have carried over .....

I'm from Nova Scotia and we had our cake to go. LOL put in our party bag on the way out the door from the party. from time to time it was at the party, but usually to go.
