I find interesting when you mention how Percy and Harold is like Thomas and Bertie since Percy the Small Engine is almost a mirror of Thomas the Tank Engine. The first story is about the engine being too cheeky and getting tricked, the engine races someone that think they’re better, and the engine is a hero. Only one story in the book is different.

Percy's Predicament was probably one of Season 2's oddest episodes. There are too many goofs. 1. Percy's trucks/cars keep losing and gaining their faces, don't they? 2. The Fat Controller reamed Percy rather than the trucks for causing him to have an accident, or the signalman for not diverting them to the runaway siding, or the driver for taking him to an unknown part of the island, or the guard for not applying the brakes because Sir Topham Hatt is a jerk. 3. Daisy got off scot-free. If I was the Fat Controller then I would've made her pull the rubbish train or something. 4. Percy looked more filthy than hurt when the brake van/caboose was destroyed but was still sent to Crovan's Gate.

I do have to say somethings that bugged me about this video: (No offence mind you.) First off in Better Late Than Never the narrator said that Bertie was made at Thomas and he took it out on him. Then they make up during Bertie's accident. I do like their friendship here and Tidmouth isn't seen very often. What can I say tho? I love all of the episodes from season 1-5. Second in Double Trouble Thomas is a bit rude but Percy doesn't help him when he chokes. Both are in the wrong and it's a generally a good tale. Finally in Wholly Bear Percy teases Thomas again about when he scared him, of course making Thomas feel mad especially after he's late. The Atmosphere of the countryside is really nice and looks like a strong gale. It's also nice to see Percy learn not to get so full of himself.

I think the problem with your points of view especially when it comes to characters like Trevor is you watched these episodes for the first time in the 2000's which is 20 years after they were made. The world had changed dramatically from 1984 - 2004. As somebody who was born in 1983 and growing up having the original VHS tapes when they were first released i knew what a traction engine was so did not need what Trevor is and does explaining, these episodes were made for children born in the 70's and 80's from stories written for children in the 40's, 50's & 60's so they did not need these episodes to explain what a traction engine is and does just incase kids in the 21st century did not know and needed it explaining lol

This is my favourite series I think and I can kind of see why you've put 'Better Late Than Never' as your least favourite however if I could choose the biggest letdown episode it would be 'The Runaway' the reason being is that it's nowhere near as exciting as it's title suggests, though it probably is better than 'Better Late Than Never' and is also rather similar to it.

That's his character. He starts off cheeky and rude in Seasons 1 and 2, but he matures into a kinder and more sensible engine by Seasons 4 and 5. It's called character development.

Not very good. To me most of the episodes kind of suck. The characters are just acting real bullies. Yet it made me angry. The only good episodes in my opinion are Edward 's Exploit, Percy and Harold and Old Iron. It just takes on the American Classics .I hated it so much .To me Season 1is better ....😡😠🤨😒!!!!!!Isn't it typical these days no one has time for anything or anyone, it's disgraceful.
