What a beautiful way to pay homage to Thomas and his genuine commitment to architecture and education! He was a true gentleman, a role model, and a mentor for many of us who had the privilege of being among his students. I cannot think of a better person to carry forward his legacy and teachings among the incoming generations of students. Thank you, Duncan.

I had the honor of being taught by Thomas and Duncan from 1991 - 1996 at Notre Dame. It was tough, and it was worth it. Everything I learned about classical architecture adapts to all types (styles) of design and is evident in all of my work. It's all about human scale and proportion. Hopefully, that's how I'm continuing his legacy. Rest in peace Thomas, your life's work was beautiful!

Sounds like a great man and a great architect. May he rest in peace. I would not have thought you could put “classic” and “bauhaus” together. Was it part of his vision to try to take the best of the modernist bauhaus movement and apply it to classical architecture?
