If you're travelling to Wrexham, don't eat the street food if you want a lovely meal. I recommend the lemon tree both as a hotel and a brilliant restaurant with an outstanding chef. For street food try ty pawb, few different choices in there. Carniboar for a steak is pretty good. 👍

I can tell you that for me, I saw a bit of where I grew up, no pro sports teams,, not just in my city, but in the entire state, and we did have one good college football team and we lived and died with them for that reason.. I mean, every person in the family would gather around the tv for big games and if we lost.. the house would be silent till bed that day.. the state which I love, was an acquired taste at best for most people, but it was my home and I loved it and they were my team,, good years and bad.. so it’s nice to know,, this type of love and loyalty is repeated over and over around the world. Good video. I’m from Wrexham and think we have pretty good food if you know where to look. I would like to know why you think german food is so much better? What kind of food do you eat in Germany that we don’t have over here? Schnitzel?😂

We're not big fans of German food either. That's why Thomas says "It was so bad, I even missed German food" In fact, it's quite difficult to find decent restaurants in Germany (outside of Berlin), especially when you're gluten-intolerant. That been said, it's not really the type of meals in the UK, it's the quality of the ingredients. For example, fruits and vegetables are often picked earlier before they are shipped to the uk because they are shipped longer ... (At least, that's what we've been told) that's why they are less tasty and less nutricious. Also, food in the UK is quite meat-heavy, outside the big city it's almost impossible to live vegetarian, and the meat is often injected with water to make it look more heavy. (Also, since Brexit - so we were told - there are less food-regulations than in the EU.) The complete opposite would be Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey or Israel where fruit and vegetables are basically sold from the tree. But please, tell us: Which are good restaurants in Wrexham? "Levant", "CarniBoar" also the food at the "Turf Pub" and "Ramada Hotel" was pretty good. We were told, the by far most popular restaurant in Wrexham is McDonald's (which kind of speaks for itself), but maybe we were misinformed.

Thanks for the reply. I suppose being gluten-intolerant and vegetarian does limit your options for food over here(same as anywhere). But i guess you are right about freshness of imported food not being as fresh as local picked food but we don’t have the climate for the type of food vegetarians like the most. (Mediterranean area is ideal). Anyway the Fat Boar restaurant is one of the best places to eat in wrexham town centre. if you want a nice kebab then Wrexham kebab on king street is the best. Nice chicken tikka or doner kebab. germans love doner kebabs so i heard. Obviously no good for vegetarians. Thanks all the best🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👍

Lived in Wrexham for 15 years. Gave up my season ticket at Liverpool 5 years ago, sick of the marketing, flashy ad boards, cameras flying across the pitch etc...missed the Klopp era! Started taking my Son to the Wrexham games, well he's Welsh....awful games!...now, I cant get a ticket at Wrexham because two marketeers have taken over the club 😂

Food in Britain is good and not because of british people but we have so many diverse cultures i genuinely struggle to believe people have that perception except they simply didnt know where to go, Indian, Thai, Nigerian, Jamaican and soooo many more.
