I found a dark brown buffalo leather BIBLE which is ESV in 12 POINT FONT. So excellent format for me in 2 columns like QUENTEL. So I am going to READ this WITH my other 3 favourite translations. Also a good reason to get another PSQ from evangelical bibles. In BLUE.

I like offset verse #'s which I've seen in some bibles. E.g. in center column when no reference there. Or in left margin.

I have found an issue in the page numbering in Matthew it's not correct I wonder if you have noticed that in your copy? on page 952. I emailed Thomas Nelson and I am sure they will come back to me. otherwise, I don't have any complaints

I noticed when I checked online on one of your links. Is that the Brown goatskin is listed today at $101.00. Whereas, the other colors are selling for $85.00 today. I'm wondering why such a difference in prices from the $85.00 blue and black goatskin bibles? I do like the brown though. But, also like the blue as well. Nice presentation of this brown goatskin Bible. I definitely like the 36 gsm paper over the 28 gsm paper. Some premiere bibles have treated paper.

Hi and thank you so much for watching and commenting! I don't know exactly why the blue goatskin is less expensive right now (even though this is supposed to be a limited edition). For the black, I guess that's only normal since that first edition had no raised hubs and does not look so appealing. My honest guess it that the brown goatskin edition, being a black letter text, is actually very coveted by many who prefer black letter Bibles. The brown cover is also slightly thicker and some of us prefer thicker covers so... That might be it but I can't really tell you why since I don't have any inside info 😉 Blessings 🙏🏽

I think the fact that Nelson takes so much time to package THIS it must mean they inspect their BIBLES. Unlike some who sell Schuyler.

I have seen and heard some indues with Thomas Nelson Bibles as well, but not many. I guess it can happen with any Bible and any Bible publisher in the premium Bible world.

So far I think I agree with your choice of the new King James Version Bible I have one that is in a blue leather cover and it even has RED verse numbers and it's very well spaced out and I think you would like it just because of the spacing and the room. .. but of course there is a wide margin coming out in Nelson Premier and that's also very good so I do share a lot of your concerns about certain Bibles and how we need more room and more space and bigger Printing and more margins and more Gutter and all these things I think for Bible makers to survive they will suddenly start listening to their customers the good thing about Nelson in the Premier and zondervan in the Premier they are as good if not better than the Schuyler Bibles in my opinion and are certainly half the price and they're always available on Amazon and you can send it back if you don't like them.

In my humble opinion- I am not sold on THIS BIBLE FOR PREACHING. HERE'S WHY: 1. Prefer verse by verse in thinline instead of paragraph form. Why? Verse by Verse is better for preaching. 2. A little more GENEROUS yapp.( As the reviewer so clearly brought out.) 3. RIBBONS-Just give me two high quality wide ribbons- (One ribbon is never enough, Three is too many, But 2 is juuust right.) 4. A little more room in the gutters and margins. ( I realize for the makers to do this, they may not be able to do a thin line- That's OK as long as it's not too wide- maybe an inch/qtr.-- Or take out any helps that aren't necessary.) ( In my opinion, a ref bible only needs 1 pg describing the Bib; who made it, Another for your name; extra paper only if it strengthens binding; NO MAPS, concordance, dictionary, pronunciation help; or word def's; ( THAT'S WHY WE NEED MULTIPLE TRANSLATIONS. I DO AGREE THAT SOME BORDER ON HERESY; BUT, THERES NOT A PERFECT TRANSLATION. I USE THE NKJV, CZ IT'S EASY TO READ, IT USES MODERN ENGLISH W/ OUT TAKING AWAY FROM THE FLOW OF THE KJV, AND THE BEAUTIFUL POETIC ELIZABETHIAN ENGLISH STYLE; AND U CAN STILL QUOTE SCRIPTURE OUT OF NKJV W/ OUT IT SOUNDING FOREIGN. ( I also like the Kjv; Message bib; and the RSV; etc...) BACK TO SUBJ @ HAND-- ALL THESE EXTRAS THAT TAKE UP SPACE-MOST PREACHERS RARELY USE THEM. AND WHEN THEY DO, THEY WILL USE THEIR BOOKS, COMMENTARIES, CONCORDANCE, THAT ARE ALL MUCH MORE EXHAUSTIVE AND DETAILED- AND, THE COMPUTERS WILL GIVE U EVEN MORE COMPREHENSIVE STUDY HELPS THAN BOOKS CAN. SO, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THE SCRIPTURES, THE FONT, MARGIN SPACE, TOPICAL/SUB HEADINGS; CROSS REFS; READABILITY, SQUEEZABILITY; LEATHER QUALITY, BINDING, OUTSIDE PRESENTATION; PORTABILITY; SPACING; LINE MATCHING, SMYTH SEWN; SIZE; COLOR; ETC.... U CAN FILL IN THE BLANKS. - AS MANY GREAT INTERVIEWS THAT HAVE BEEN DONE ONLINE OVER THE LAST 10 YRS BY PASTORS, TEACHERS, BIBLE LOVERS, LOCAL CHURCH TEACHERS; CHRISTIAN BOOKSTORE OWNERS; AND BIBLE COLLECTORS-- SURELY THESE PUBLISHERS SHOULD BE PUMPING OUT SEVERAL DIFFERENT VERSIONS AND BRANDS THAT A MAJORITY OF PASTORS FROM ALL DENOMINATIONS COULD SAY IN AGREEMENT-- WITHOUT A DOUBT-- NOW "*****THESE BIBLES ARE YOUR 'PERFECT' PREACHING BIBLES!!!*****"-- BUT, WE'RE NOT THERE YET!!! AND MAYBE THAT'S THE FUN THAT KEEPS US LOOKING, REVIEWING, AND BUYING- WE HAVN'T FOUND THAT PERFECT PREACHING BIBLE YET! --(IT REMINDS ME OF A POPULAR EPISODE ON THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW- * LIKE THE BIG FISH IN MYERS LAKE THAT HAD NEVER BEEN CAUGHT-( SO GOOBER, ANDY, HOWARD, OPIE, AND 1ST TIME FISHERMAN HOWARD DECIDED TO GO FISHING, AND TRY HIS HAND AT CATCHING THE BIG PRIZE FISH. AND WHEN IT WAS FINALLY CAUGHT, IT WAS CAUGHT BY LUCKY HOWARD.- THE PROBLEM WAS EVERYBODY RESENTED HOWARD, BECAUSE IN ESSENCE, HE TOOK THEIR FUN AWAY. NOBODY WANTED TO FISH AGAIN, UNTIL HOWARD THE ROOKIE FISHERMAN FINALLY GOT THE MESSAGE, AND THREW THE BIG FISH BACK IN THE LAKE, SO THE LEGEND COULD CONTINUE, AND THE FUN OF KNOWING "THE PERFECT FISH" HAD NOT been CAUGHT YET.
